The screen's resolution makes it a no buy for me, and while it's nice to use a dedicated GPU as opposed to using intel HD graphics, the GT640m-LE doesn't look like much of a powerhouse (according to benchmarks).

I think tablet PCs will be great for gaming at some point down the road, I just don't think it's worth it at the moment. Hopefully, around next year, technology will make it possible to have better specs in these tablets.

I think it's okay to give bonuses for those who buy the game new, however, I don't like it when they strip feautures out.

Example : giving free DLC with a new game is a good way to have people buy the game new.
An online pass however, punishes those who buy used games, people who rent games and those who bring the game at their friend's house.

Another thing I think would help, is to lower the prices of games after soem months on the market...

When I look at this game, it reminds me of Silent Storm, which is a great thing. However, with the Kalypso also being the publisher for Legends of Pegasus, I'm a bit hesitant to pre-purchase the game. Hopefully, it will be as good as it sounds as I usually like that kind of game.

They should be worried about the Steambox, but not the Piston. By the looks of it, it has an integrated GPU, which in my opinion, makes this particular device almost useless for gaming. And if priced in a similar fashion to their other PCs (mainly the X7a), it simply won't be competitive. If anything, I hope Valve makes a true Steambox, and hopefully it will be more similar to the Red riding hood computer, in which it has a dedicated GPU and a much lower price, at the price of a larger co...

Anything but Xbox 720, as 720 would likely to be associated with 720p, something I'm sure Microsoft wants to avoid, as their next console will likely fully support at least 1080p for all the games.

No mention of the GPU?

I can see your point. However, I think that the issue with MMOs on console so far has been the lack of a great MMO. Most people won't mind paying for something, if they think it is worth it. Millions pay for WoW (or any other subscription based game) on PC just plenty of people pay for either PS Plus or XBL. If Blizzard's next MMO were to be a revolutionary experience, I think people wouldn't mind paying a monthly fee for it, on PC or on consoles.

It's been known for a while now that a new MMO was in development at Blizzard, and there's little in this article that points toward a console version of this title or any other MMO. All it says is that Blizzard is looking to hire some people to work on their next MMO, and one of them should have experience in producing AAA games on PC or consoles.

Will their next MMO be on the next genration consoles? Maybe, but there's no eveidence so far.

Why is there so many articles about emblems being offensive in Call of Duty? Did the media already forget about the tagging of jpegs and gifs in Counter-strike? How is a badly drawn penis swastika more offending than real porn?

I swear, nowadays, people will complain about everything.

If this is true, I hope the next Xbox will also be compatible with the Surface Pro, as that's the next tablet I'm planning to buy. Making features exclusive to an Xbox-branded tablet while also having the Surface and the Surface Pro on the market would be counter-productive I believe.

Regarding a Microsoft-branded smartphone, if its build quality is similar to that of the Surface, and its specs are on par or better than the Nokia 920, I'd be willing to give it a t...

All I can tell you is that running high end games at acceptable settings on a laptop will cost you way more than a grand.

It's a fun, pick up and play, fast-paced shooter. It managed to find the right balance between realism and arcade so that people can recognize the weapons and the technologies used, while still remaining forgiving enough so that you don't die without having a chance to fight back.

The campaigns are short, but full of set pieces and never really have the player go through an extended period of time without action.

Call of Duty is basically like a Micha...

Are we going to have these "news" every week? So yeah, there's not a whole lot of people on Black Ops 2 on a platform that came out weeks ago; so what? News flash, when the next xbox or playstation console comes out, Call of Duty will still sell better on current gen consoles on the first year.

While the PS had plenty of good games, I remember the N64 as the better one when it came down to splitscreen gaming. Countless hours were lost in games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, WCW/nWo World Tour and Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy, Diddy Kong Racing, etc. The only PS one game I remember playin in multiplayer for an extended period of time would have to be Twisted MEtal 2. Both consoles were great, although RPG fans had little to no choice but to go with sony's offering, due ...

Yeah, I just went on Vgchartz (despite the fact that their numbers have not always been reliable, they're the only ones widely available as far as I know), and indeed Halo 3 outsold CoD4. However, like you said, Cod has been outselling Halo on X360 since MW2 (which outsold ODST).

I thank you for the info, as I didn't think Halo had sold so much.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't CoD outsold Halo on X360 since CoD4:MW? Anyway, both franchises are selling extremely well, and I doubt this will end anytime soon.

Well, it does make sense. While the CoD games on the Wii sold pretty well for third-party games, they most likely required a different team, which is soemwhat counter-productive. The DS games on the other hand, were rather porrly designed (in my opinion) and probably won't be missed. Black Ops 2 will be released on PC, PS3, X360 and Wii U and will, for the most part, be the exact same game on all platforms; which is for the best.

Who knows, depending on the reception of B...

"on their way"? Ubisoft has been about as greedy as any other major publisher for quite a few years. Ubisoft has milked every single franchise they have, we've had 5 AC console games this generation (which is pretty close to Call of Duty), they stripped everything Tom Clancy in their "Tom Clancy's" game line-up to make it into nothing more than your run of the mill military franchise (mostly Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon). They made plenty of quick cash-ins on the DS...
