A brighter future for n-space? Not unless they completely revamped their development team; their track record isn't exactly stellar.
As for the handheld market not being as strong, he's right, the 3DS isn't selling as much as the DS was, and the Vita is also struggling to sell as much as the PSP did. However, this could be due to the last generation of handhelds outperforming anything before it rather than a slow overall decline for the handheld market. And while ...
I sure hope not. While I love League of Legends and DOTA2, most other F2P games are, in one way or another, pretty bad. Some are simply really cheap, with very low production values; while other are forcing you to spend cash to progress. Most F2P games overly rely on farming/grinding in order to have the players spend money on boosts or items in order to not bu stuck at the same spot for months. I'd rather pay 60$ for a full game with the occasional DLC packs than pay nothing at first, th...
No, I think it's from the "There's a soldier in all of us" ad campaign for the first Black Ops.
Why do you need a bundle? The PS4 is 399$, the Vita is now 199$; combined, they cost 599$, what would a 599$ bundle bring to the table?
I hope that at some point down the line Sony will have a 64GB card, as my 32 is full and I like to have my entire game collection with me at all time. As for the new price for the 32GB, it's still high (mostly when compared to microSD cards), but at least it's getting more reasonable.
I think that whatever they do, Resident Evil 7 is unlikely to sell as much as Resident Evil 5 did, or even Resident Evil 6. With these two games, Capcom tried to create games that combined the some survival elements (from the older Resident Evil games) and co-op action (in order to boost the game's mainstream appeal). One thing we have learned this gen, survival horror and co-op are hard to combine; Dead Space 3 pretty much confirmed that.
With RE7, if they go back to the...
Isn't it a bit early for a new Vita model? I mean, sure the 3DS XL came out pretty quickly, but it's nothing more than a bigger 3DS. This, on the other hand, looks to be almost like a Vita 1.5. I currently have my Vita, and probably wouldn't mind buying a second one; but it better have some on board storage in addition to the memory cards, and a longer battery life, in addition of those rumored specs.
It matters because that's the gimmick he had for most of his more memorable Wrestlemania moments. Would it matter if they had Hollywood Hogan face off against Andre the Giant? Yes it would, because that wasn't his gimmick at the time. The same applies for Randy.
As for Benoit, his actions are unforgivable, but he was in one of the main events of WM XX; and the most memorable moment of WM XX was the embrace between Eddie and Chris, as by that point, they had both made ...
Can't wait to see what 2K and the WWE have in store when it comes to Wrestlemania XX. Will it be HHH versus HBK, with the winner being blacked out? Will the game have Eddie Guerrero? Will we see Eddie embrace Rey Mysterio at the end, or will it be Eddie with a random Canadian? Will they have HHH win the World Heavyweight championship and bury Chris Benoit even after his death? What about Angle, since he's not in the game, but still had numerous Wrestlemania matches; will they simply b...
I think, if they ever do a remodel of the Vita, the speakers should be placed elsewhere. I can't speak for everyone, but when I use mine, my thumbs are placed over the speaker grills, which greatly reduces their effectiveness. Placing them under the screen or over the D-pad/4 face buttons would be a major improvement I think.
Why is Techland always referred to as the "Dead Island developer" in article headlines? I mean, Dead Island is their biggest franchise, but not the only one they developed. Just something I find odd.
As for the game, hopefully it's better than Dead Island and doesn't have nearly as many bugs. Just like they did with Dead Island, they managed to catch people's attention by choosing a good setting, let's just hope they don't screw up along the way ...
The content you pay for doesn't give you an edge in the actual game. Buying skins is purely cosmetic, champions can be bought with IP as well as RP, the boosts are IP and XP boosts, neither of which affects the game itself.
League of Legends works because the gameplay is fun, the team behind the team, while not perfect, is hard at work to make the game better, there is plenty of content and the game is not a Pay2Win game.
I'm pretty confident that it is worth it, and I would presume Sony and Nintendo also spend considerable amount of money in developing their controllers. The controller is after all a key component of the console, you could have the greatest console ever, but if the controller is bad, it will greatly affect the appreciation of the console.
100 million might seem like quite a lot of money, but in the grand scheme of things, it's probably not that much compared to the R&...
I think the target audience for a game franchise has a lot to do with whether or not it is viable in the long run to make multiple games over a short period of time.
I'll take the examples you've given me as a basis.
Guitar Hero and Rock Band, just like most music/party games, focus on a very wide spectrum of people, from the most casual of gamers to the most hardcores too.By not having a precise audience, these franchises were both destined to be sho...
To me, it simply doesn't matter; you can make as many installment in a franchise as you want, and as long as there's enough people to buy it, I don't see any problem with that. There's no reason nor incentive for a publisher or a developer to shake things up for the sake of change, if a game sells well, and its sequels sell just as much or even more, there's no point in not continuing like that until your fan base starts to wither.
The main examples that a...
So, from what I understand, this is similar to let's say Twitch, where you can stream, and Twitch keeps a copy of your entire stream online until you delete it?
The way I see it, Techland simply isn't a very good developer. They have some great ideas when it comes to the setting (Dead Island, Dying Light and Call of Juarez are, on paper great ideas), but the execution usually leaves a lot to be desired. It's a shame really; I remember seeing the Dead Island trailer and being really hyped for the game, and while the final product was fun, it was also a buggy mess. The game could have been so much more had it received the polish it deserved. Ho...
that's a great news, as I do own The heist, but wasn't willing to pay for the CCE to see if Payday 2 is actually worth it.
Most games don't need to. But bigger games, with sky high budgets and so much marketing going into creating a brand name need to franchise in order to pay back the initial investment.
For example, with the amount of effort Ubisoft is putting in Watch Dogs, from the game development itself (which has taken a few years of development) to everything around the game, and I'd be very surprised if we don't end up with one or more sequels over the next generation.
There are only 2 MOBAs that are currently thriving, everything else is barely worth talking about. This could change in the future, but just like WoW's dominance over the MMO market, League of Legends and DOTA2 are likely to remain kings of the MOBA world for the next several years. League of Legends has by far the biggest online community and DOTA2 is the most popular game on Steam, bar none. HoN's community is almost irrelevant by now, SMITE has plenty of issues and I doubt it will ...
