From my personal experience, the apple app store has the games (and apps) I want, while on the other hand, the Google Play store is missing quite a few. Now, like I said, this is based on my personal experience with both stores.
I think the issue with the Vita is that it has been out for a year or so now with a respectable amount of good games, yet sales do not reflect that. When the PS3 came out, it didn't sell very well at first, thanks to a high price point and a lack of great games (Resistance and Motorstorm are both good games, but nothing exceptional in my opinion). Developers and publishers knew that with a good amount of software, sales would go up.
On the other hand, the Vita has games, ...
To be fair, Fox news actually reports news, they spin it, but it's news nonetheless; now, if only the same applied to Kotaku...
I highly doubt we'll get another console VC. The game plays well enough on the PSP, and I suspect Sega will be looking at making one on either the Vita or the 3DS, as portable gaming is more popular in Japan than console gaming, that's if they even make another. In addition to that, I don't think we'll have an English version any time soon, as Sega seems convinced that VC just won't sell enough outside of Japan for it to be worth the localization costs.
Most likely an integrated GPU, or some low end AMD one, really not worth the 1000$ if you're planning on gaming on it. Not only won't it run all the latest game when it comes out, but in a year or two, this will be little more than an overpriced media PC.
Highly unlikely. The PS4 will likely launch in the last few months of 2013, say october or november. Sony has so far confirmed that it would launch in (at least) one country/region this year. If it launches exclusively in Japan, there's no way it sells 16 million units in 2-3 months. Even in NA, this number would seem highly unlikely. As a matter of fact, a wordlwide launch would probably not get these sales.
You also have to add the fact that MS is also likely to ship it...
Of course Perfect Dark is the better game. Better graphics, bots, ability to customize multiplayer characters, multiplayer stats, numerous challenges, more abd arguably better guns, a more complete story (Goldeneye prettu much expected you to have seen the movie and then let you play the best scenes, while Perfect Dark had the whole story), etc. Add co-op and counter-op and you perrty much have one of the most complete package for a FPS game at the time (online multiplayer is missing, but the...
The game industry is a business like any other, publishers and developers are out there trying to make as much money as possible.
From what has been reported, Darksiders 2 lost THQ money, mostly due to only getting decent sales for a high budget game.
Publishers during THQ's sale weren't looking for a quality franchise to pick up, but one that would sell well. Since the Darksiders name doesn't sell, a publisher might as well develop its own franch...
Wouldn't GTA3 be more of an improvement over GTA2 than GTA VC over GTA3?
Using that logic, my iPad can run Crysis (with the use of the Splashtop remote app), although controls would be troublesome.
I wish people would stop using these headlines on N4G.
Books are an even bigger problem. In the course of history, books have been responsible for the deaths of millions. Books can breed hatred, can be used for propaganda and have led to numerous wars (mostly religious ones), I think reading should be banned and the act of writing should be punished by death. As a matter of fact, why stop there, why not simply put a ban on every form of expression, like drawing, singing and talking, as all of these could possibly lead a weak-minded or mentally il...
What about James Bond? The guy can hold 2 rocket launchers at the same time, and holster them when he's done. I mean, 2 rocket launchers, even Master Chief can't do that.
I guess the NRA and gun-owners should quiet down and let the law makers decide what is good for them then. Yet, the NRA and many gun owners are all over the medias these days. Thanks for the double standard.
If they're going to go back to Burnout, make it more like Burnout 3 or Revenge. If they're going to make Burnout Paradise 2, might as well continue working on the NFS franchise, as the two are becoming quite similar nowadays.
And please bring back traffic attack.
I'm pretty sure it's Sim City, not Sim City 3. These are all nice deals, I guess someone really wants EA games to sell this spring.
If I had to pick the 10 N64 games I played and enjoyed the most, it would likely be as follow:
WWF No Mercy
WWF Wrestlemania 2000
Perfect Dark
Army men : Sarge's heroes (despite the fact that I'm pretty sure it hasn't aged well at all)
Chopper Attack
Forsaken 64
Battle Tanx
Diddy Kong Racing
WcW/nWo Revenge
Pokemon Stadium
Now that I think about it, a few of these games are a...
Four games where multiplayer wasn't necessary perhaps, but I don't see how it ruined the overall game. All four of these games had a pretty good single player component, and, in neither of these cases did the MP take anythign away from the SP.
Spec Ops is still one of my favorite game I had the chance to play last year, and while I didn't play the MP a whole lot, I don't think the game would have been any better whitout it.
The only two reason...
What about Brute Force? Despite what some people may have said about it, I thought it was pretty fun in co-op.
I believe that having a 4 player co-op game like Brute Force at launch could be a good move.
I do realise the importance of framerate in games, but while this is sold as a gaming tablet, it is still to be used a an everyday tablet as well. Below 1080p on a 10 inches screen is a subpar experience for windows 8. Considering the price tag, I for one wouldn't buy it only to play games on it, I would expect it to be a very good Win8 tablet overall as well.
Also, just because the screen has a resolution of 1080p, it doesn't mean you can't play games at 720p on ...
Ebert might have been a movie critic, but he loved movies. He wasn't always negative about them either. In addition to that, as what I would consider to be a testament to his love for movies, even after losing the ability to speak, he still wrote plenty of critics. Rather than see him as a person filled with negative energy, I see him as a passionate man.
As for the Roger Ebert of video games, I don't think there is one at the moment. The old Gamespot staff was good a...
