My only issue with the OUYA is that it's almost late to the game. I see people saying it features a controller, can stream to a TV and has indie games and emulators.
Samsung has already shown a controller add-on, and Apple is rumored to be working on one as well, making the controller argument weaker in my opinion.
As for streaming, some Android phones can already stream content to the TV, some can even do it without a need for a cable.

My guess would be that it has been done numerous times in the past. Or maybe they can't patent it for some reason.
But, Build hasn't been about the Xbox in the past either. Doesn't it serve as a conference about Windows and Windows developers?
But...PC has plenty of exclusives as well, from small indie games to AAA titles like the Total War series. Not only that, but most if not all of the F2P games coming to PS4 and Xbox One are already available on PC. I wish people would stop saying PC doesn't have exclusives, as it's simply not true, as a matter of fact, PC has the most played online game at the moment, League of Legends, as well as DotA 2.
Both PC and consoles have their pros and cons, no platform is p...
Did you even bother to read the article before commenting? The article makes no mention of 3D, so I'm unsure as to why you decided to bring it up and use it as an argument against Masahiro Sakurai's statement.
I wasn't much into MGS before playing MGS4 (I had played Metal Gear Ac!d 1 and 2 by then, but that was about it). The previous games seemed too tedious to me, and the controls looked pretty bad from my perspective, however, when MGS4 was announced, its gameplay and controls looked much better, so I gave it a try, and I loved it, and obviously, as a newcomer to the franchise, I had no idea what was going on or who were most of the characters in the game. For me, MGS4 kept me playing not fo...
By your logic, no matter how flawed a game is, as long as it's free, it should get a free pass from reviewers.
At the end of the day, yes it is free, but there are much better free to play games out there.
Obviously, if you are a Marvel fan, go for it, ignore this review and enjoy the game, but you can't expect every reviewer to be Marvel fans, nor should you expect them to give a higher score for it. For example, I enjoy Dynasty Warrior games, but I...
I pre ordered both my PS4 and my Xbox One from Futureshop.ca, nothing to pay until they ship, and can cancel at any time until then. At least now, I'm sure I can get both or whichever I wish to have at launch, and not have to wait in line or overpay on eBay. I really don't see why one should not pre-order, it's not like you're forced to buy it afterwards.
I'm getting the Xbox One at launch, hoping for a quick release for Titanfall, and most of all, Crimson Dragon. Not much of a Halo fan, nor am I interested that much by Ryse, but really, Crimson Dragon alone sold me the console, like Panzer Dragoon Orta did for the original Xbox. I don't really care about the DRM issues (although I can understand why many gamers would be worried about them) as, it's very different from Steam or Origin, the 2 services I already use a lot on PC.
Never really was, was also on PC for some titles.
If you intend to play games with an integrated GPU setup, yes, an intel setup will struggle more than an AMD one. Obviously, if you're serious about PC gaming, you will have a dedicated GPU. So far, even a core i5 CPU from intel can trash a high end FX series from AMD CPU wise, and I highly doubt things are about to change.
When it comes to a CPU, I always go with intel (unless I'm short on cash), I am however interested to see if in the near future, AMD GPUs will hav...
Well, if I had access to internet, I'd say League of Legends, as I've been spending most of my gaming time on this game alone in the last year or so.
Without internet, probably something like Civ5, as this game packs a lot of content, and isn't linear. The last thing I'd want would be a short or linear game.
Buying it on the eShop tonight, while a lowered price would have been nice, the fact that I don't have to go to a shop at midnight (is there even a midnight launch around my area?) and that I won't have to carry multiple game carts in the future is enough for me.
While I understand why a lot of people like physical media, when it comes to my Vita and my 3DS, I pretty much go digital only; I used to buy physical copies, but carrying game carts grew old, and truth be to...
Seeing how the 3DS is selling quite well, and is still early in its lifecycle, my guess is that if Nintendo were to kill the Wii-U, they would simply put all their developers on 3DS projects. Nintendo has 3 sources of income, hardware, software and royalties. Putting their IPs on the Xbox One or the PS4 would likely increase their software revenues, but also decrease their hardware sales, both for the 3DS and the Wii-U, as first party games are the main reason people still buy Nintendo's ...
Usually, that's true. But in this case, the biggest feature of the shield is its ability to stream your PC games on it; the fact that it has games of its own is mostly a bonus I guess.
On the other hand, I would definitely have to try it myself before buying one, as latency issues and build quality could be a dealbreaker. We'll have to see I guess.
Are people really giving a free pass to CoD? Last time I checked, on the internet at least, Call of Duty has seen its fair share of articles blaming it and saying the franchise was being milked to oblivion. Comments on N4G, IGN, GameSpot, etc. also show that a lot of people simply hate CoD and just like to hate on it, for various reasons.
On the other hand, Madden, FIFA and other yearly sports franchises do get a free pass in my opinion. I barely see a few people complaining ...
Why change it? Activision is a business, and, as far as I know, the biggest third party publisher in the world today. Why you ask? Because every year, Call of Duty, World of WarCraft and Skylanders bring in tons of cash.
For as long as people are willing to buy Call of Duty (and make it the best selling game of the year, year after year), there's absolutely no reason for Activision to change anything. The key to a successful business is investing as little as possible and...
I don't think a sequel is necessary, it's a good game on its own, it doesn't need to become a franchise and quite frankly, I'm not sure it would gain much by doing so.
On the other hand, I would enjoy either a 3DS or Vita port (most a Vita one since it would be able to keep the original content mostly intact).
To be fair dedicatedtogamers, the author did not get rid of his DS lite because of the dead pixel, as his DS already had it when he bought it. The author of the article is simply making a retrospective about the DS and which games he enjoyed the most. The reason he's saying farewell to the DS, is because he hasn't used it in about 2 years, basically ever since he bought a 3DS.
While I know that kotaku has published plenty of crap over the years, I don't think this...
I would simply like to mention this : since he was arrested in Canada, child pornography is a pretty vague term. In many countries, child pornography has to be picture/video of "real" people. In Canada, a naked drawn character counts as child pornography.
I'm not saying what he did isn't a crime or acceptable, I just wanted to make this precision, as things that are legal in other countries (like the U.S.) and easily accessible on the internet (think hentai)...
