@xPhearR3dx:
Shows how amazing Beyond: Two Souls's faces look on PS3, considering it's running on 7-year old hardware.

What's even more amazing is that the PS4 will shame this level of facial detail! It's going to be crazy to see what Quantic Dream and oth...
I think the console versions are looking pretty good considering they're 7-year old hardware. Aside from some extra blurriness, they look rather similar.
The analogy doesn't even make sense.
A more apt analogy would be "Beyonce sang a couple songs from her new album, but didn't show the cover art."
Because that's exactly what they (the haters) are complaining about--the lack of cover art.
Judging by the number of disagree votes I received (without any actual rebuttals of technical merit), I'd conclude that either a) the image didn't load for most people, or b) people tend to see what they want to see.
MakiManPR:
Inverted is the way to go for hardcore/veteran gamers.
Crytek said it themselves. Cevat Yerli said right after Crysis 1 came out that piracy on PC was a huge problem, and that they could not afford to make blockbuster games exclusive to PC anymore; hence, the transition to consoles.
Right from the horse's mouth, whether you agree with him or not.
"I feel no shame in being excited by what I've seen."
Wowzers! The writer is really going out on a limb with this statement.
The PS4 version looks better (in some ways):

While the PC version holds a commanding lead in particle count, I would argue the PS4 version looks better overall by virtue of more sophisticated lighting and shaders. There are additional light sources, and better, more defined specularity on the Hell Knight's ...
So why are PC fans so upset about Blizzard bringing a "not good" game to consoles? They should all just be, "Meh, whatever."
I think if Blizzard wants to make a big splash into console gaming, they should make a big game for consoles. Don't just dip your toes in. If you want to succeed in the console realm, you have to go all in and all out.
Otherwise, stick with PC. As primarily a console gamer, I don't really care much about any of Blizzard's games anyway, and it would actually be refreshing to see a PC company stay loyal to the PC platform and not "sell out" to consoles for...
In some ways, you're making my point. You say that Facebook's "growth" hasn't been fast enough, hence falling stock values. My argument is that it's a flawed philosophy to begin with to always be seeking the fastest possible growth to inflate stock prices in the short term. It seems to me that the success of economies or companies predicated on constant "bubbles" or spurts of greater and greater profitability--all in order to please shareholders--is a doome...
@kenoh:
Your statement that "Unreal Engine 4 requires a GTX 680 to run on max settings" doesn't actually make any sense. An engine in and of itself doesn't have set minimum specifications--games do. I guarantee you that an Unreal Engine 4 game released 3 years from now will require VASTLY different minimum specifications to run than an Unreal Engine 4 game released this year. To put it simply, you can port Super Mario 64 to Unreal Engine 4, and my iPhone cou...
It seems to me that people and companies alike have an over-obsession with stock prices. I think it's a fundamental flaw in the structure of our economy if companies are this obsessed and reliant upon share prices--i.e., "pleasing" the shareholders. Stock value should not be the primary concern of a company--profitability and long-term stability should be. But that's just my opinion.

The crucial question are, what GPU is running the PC version of the tech demo? And at what framerate/resolution? Also, what framerate and resolution is this PS4 version of the demo running at?
Whatever the case, a blurry fan-uploaded Youtube video is hardly ideal for gauging the image quality of the PS4 demo. For all we know, many particle and texture details were lost because the video is so blurry.
8GB of GDDR5 RAM was a huge shocker for me. All leaked specs indicated 4GB (although Sony stated to developers they were aiming for more).
Hell, my recently-purchased AMD GPU "only" has 3GB, and I thought that was a lot!
In this case, I would say it's a blatant... homage to Asura's Wrath. Stephen Chow is not so uncreative a guy as to feel it necessary to completely rip off a scene from another movie/game. He obviously did this on purpose, otherwise he would not have made the shot-by-shot similarities so blatantly obvious.
A new "Master" difficulty is gonna be awesome! My only real disappointment with the game was its overall easiness and lack of true challenge.
Hopefully this new difficulty setting will be hardcore enough--as is the spirit and tradition of the Far Cry series--to satiate my need for a sweat-inducing, nail-biting experience.
Planetside 2 on PS4 would (will?) be amazing. Even more amazing if it were bundled with every PS4 sold, pre-installed on the hard drive. That would automatically bring a huge, much-needed player base to an amazing game, and essentially create another defining exclusive franchise on Sony's Playstation stable.
To this day, I still don't understand why Xbox fans hype the hell out of Cross-game chat. I didn't care before, I don't care now.
If I wanted to talk to my friends while playing a different game, I could EASILY use Skype, or Xfire, etc.
