I think CoD needs the Assassin's Creed treatment if I am honest, drop it back a year or so and spend a little more time with it. I understand they have a rotation of developers who work on the titles but I think it just needs a break.
It's a beast because it doesn't require all it's GPU to run the lower resolution games? How is this even a story, this is just common sense, why on earth would it require all it's new power to run games that the PS4 ran fine.. am I missing something here?
They always handicap themselves whilst simultaneously developing quite innovative hardware. I love the idea (and tbh I don't know specs, so I might be jumping the gun) but I really hope the base unit has some extra horsepower or the handheld device is just super powerful.
With the upcoming release of the PS4 Pro and Scorpio, if this has a lower spec it may be disregarded by some developers. The silver lining however is that if it can at least have the power of, say, the...
I'd like to know if Skyrim on a plane was via some WiFi remote play or actually via the handheld hardware (some fancy planes have WiFi)
I am 100% interested though, I just want to see what games they offer!
It's definitely Table Tennis.
Wait, so that Rockstar logo on a red background wasn't a new Red Dead Redemption announcement and trailer??
I agree, you have all these great skins etc that could be unlocked via certain hidden/un-hidden challenges in game which would add more replay-ability to games and yet they just lock them behind a paywall. It's BS.
Unfortunately a lot of game review sites want the hits and for new games they want to get their reviews out ASAP whilst the game is still in the spotlight, games come out so rapidly now (plus other new announcements, videos etc) that people lose interest very quickly.
Not sending out review copies is just a bad idea because it will encourage this type of behaviour.
Gotta be the Xbox Elite controller for me!
Bull. ****. The difference between some of the 720p/900p upscaled Xbox one games next to the raw 1080p PS4 games were incredibly noticeable. Now whether or not gamers should care is another issue that will differ from person to person, but the difference between an upscaled 4K game vs a native 4K game on a 55+" TV will be super noticeable if you compared.
Have you played it since The Taken King, it's like a different game. They already have learnt from their mistakes. I'm surprised people still hate on Destiny, at launch - granted, the stupid DLC paywall etc but after Taken King they pretty much turned it into the game people were expecting day 1. The newest DLC is a bit lacklustre I'll admit, I am still enjoying it though and now that they throw out free updates periodically you get more bang for your buck.
I think it means they wont get mod support..
Really? I have like 2 friends with 4K TVs! I mean, I guess most people in the market for a new one will definitely get 4K but I wouldn't say it's standard yet, by any stretch!
It's only worth the upgrade if you have a 4K TV, I mean.. that's pretty obvious.. right?
If you mean the one in the distance, that's just the depth of field setting, it's probably toned down for the Pro - which to be honest I don't know why as it it uses up very little resources!
HDR doesn't really improve the graphics as such, it's more the colours. You get a much higher dynamic range, so blacks will be blacker, things like sun rises etc will look beautiful because you'll see things how your eyes might rather than a lens.
I'd say they are actually quite noticeable, but as KaiPow said - you're spending a LOT more to get a PC up to those visuals.
For the disagrees - I get that they both look great, but look at the blood textures on her arm, they look much flatter on the PS4 Pro. The textures on the artefact type thing on the right, where the light reflects off, you can see a lot more of the texture. The dynamic range of the lighting down her arm (that might be different monitor settin...
Well, if the Scorpio internals stay as they are it's almost certain... but yes, of course it's hypothetical - the Scorpio isn't out!
That looks unbelievable! and I am not trying to create a flame war here but if the Pro can get those visuals with it's specs I also can't wait to see what Microsoft show running on the Scorpio - hopefully soon because they need to fire back now!
Ahh, so it's clever hardware. It basically switches itself into a PS4 for when a game doesn't support the Pro, that's decent!
