Naive I know, but is Mario Kart actually good fun solo? I have a Switch and I am tempted but I just don't know how much depth it has from a singleplayer point of view?
News flash: Water is wet.
"Here is what Dark Souls could look like if it was an Indie game made in Unreal Engine 4"
I like it when Marcus Pheonix rocks up midway through!
Can we please try and avoid this whole "war" thing again, it's just a cancer on the gaming scene. It was bad enough with the XB1/PS4.
Nobody asked for a $1200 Titan Xp either, but they exist because there are people out there that want them and will buy them.
Pushing aside the glaring issue of exclusives, (I am very much an Xbox fan but lately I just haven't had a reason to use mine so for me this is genuinely a big concern) lets hope that at E3 this year they show us some marvelous stuff running on the Scorpio. Anyway, that aside, we have always asked for more power...

@Xx_Pistol_xX - How free it is, and how the world is just full of oportunities to solve puzzles and situations in however you wish. Other than the outside boundaries of the game there almost feels like there's nothing you can't do and no place you can't go.
The totally none linear aproach to everything is also very fresh, obviously not totally original by any stretch, but the almost complete lack of any quest markers makes the game so immersive. Dark Souls does ...
I'm 32 and I've been playing games since I was about 12...
Games have gotten so stale of late, everyone just copies and pastes so it's nice to see something a little bit different.
Of course nothing is truly original, it's very hard now. But it's way way more original than 90% of the stuff we've seen recently.
To be honest, I agree with that. I just decided to bite a bit on this one! Mainly because it's one of the most original games I have played in about 6 years!
This guy needs glasses then!
cemelc - exactly, the fact that the frame rate get targeted so aggressively solidifies how great the rest of the game is.
True, but if you can't see past that it's also an issue! When you notice a frame drop, then realise you're sitting on a plane, or train or in the office on a tiny portable device playing a game as beautiful as this there is something wrong with how critical you are (obviously I am referring to the Switch, not the WiiU).
Honestly I barely notice the frame drops now, even on the big screen, they certainly aren't enough to warrant a considerably lower score, bu...
Every time I see one of these reviews (let's be honest here 7/10 isn't a great score by current margins), I genuinely feel bad that the reviewer couldn't enjoy this game for how fundamentally brilliant it is!
A lot of my friends have said the same, whilst I regard it as one of the greatest RPGs I have played. It's good that none of them have said it was bad though, just that they couldn't get into it.
It's a true time-sink, you literally need to devote all your gaming time to it and that can be quite an ask to be honest.
Part of the reason I love it so much (and this resonates in Zelda too) is that it all feels so handcrafted, every quest and every...
Damn, that's a lot of time! I think my save on Witcher is on 200+ hours, but I still haven't touched Blood & Wine, can see that taking me a while!
Witcher 3 has way way way more depth. I love them both but Horizon is a 40/50 hours game, Witcher is a 100/200 hours game! Different type of game!
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was met with incredibly high acclaim upon its release and while certainly a fantastic game, it wasn't entirely a flawless experience" - His opening sentence.
His flaws:
The story
The graphics
The difficulty
Shrines
Performance
I am sorry, but saying a game is fantastic and then saying you don't really like the majority of the main elements is quite cont...
I agree, I just skim read it and it's just negative after negative. If you can't see positives in this game you really shouldn't be in any sort of game journalism.
Not that I think this is a bad move, but it's proof that they just need to take a break! I get that they have cycle 3 devs to give them more development time but just hang fire until you can come up with someone a bit more original!
In terms of unlocks (I am a bit of a collector in games and this would encourage me) what sort of unlocks are there? cosmetically, well and performance based?
