Don't really care what the reviews for this game will be. It's Ratchet and Clank and 4 player co-op. Nuff said!
Yeah but to be fair, almost every game released in recent times have had a day 1 patch. It's not really that big a deal. We know it's to be expected to make changes identified in the beta but who's surprised?
LOL. Trust me, he knows that. But to believe that is to believe that there are millions on the PS3 that love and play Call of Duty, not just come on here and bitch and moan. Funny that 3 of the top 5 titles are Call of Duty.
What the over/under on how many comments this article will have? I'll say over 200.
Because to connect to Fifa or any recent EA game, you have to connect to EA servers. It's seems strange also that the only content being purchased is EA's.
These comparisons just need to stop but the articles will keep receiving 200 plus comments, so they wont.
You cannot have worked in the gaming industry for a long as Glen has, and not know of the Battlefield franchise. Further to that, until a year and a half ago, he worked for EA, so he's full of shit!
I don't agree at all. The story telling and character development for a GTA title was sublime. Never have I loved characters in a game more than I did Niko, Roman, Little J, Brucie and the other characters in the game; each felt real and fleshed out. The sandbox experiences, wasn't what long time GTA fans expected. The game was more linear but that's what was necessary to tell great stories. GTAIV was an evolution the franchise needed to stay relevant. A great emphasis on story, c...
This is what an HD remake/remaster/re-release should be! I hope other publishers take note. There is so much content, so much attention to detail. It's amazing.
Yeah but the nickle and diming is frustrating though. What's even more frustrating is how common place it's becoming.
It's always funny when someone gets banned they claim to be "legit".
This is the second article this guy has written on this same topic in as many weeks. Frankly, he's starting to sound like a butthurt fanboy. Just let it go. There will be those who love GT5 and that franchise, those who love Forza and the Forza franchise and those smart enough to know how to appreciate both without making it a contest.
@ NukaCola
Funny how half the games you mentioned have been proven to run better on the XBox 360. Shaman is actually right but I'm sure the n4g.com PS3 community will disagree with him and discount Digital Foundry as a pro-XBox 360 site.
@ elshadi with regards to Batman Arkham Asylum;
" . . . .the Xbox 360 version offers the smoother, more visually coherent experience. Both games are locked at 30FPS, and will drop v-sync in order to ...
I'm not trolling. This is a genuine question I've asked but no one seems to be able to or want to answer. How has Battlefield 3 distinguished itself from Battlefield Bad Company 2? I've played Bad Company 2's multiplayer and the Battlefield 3 beta and the two games aren't indistinguishable. Battlefield 3 seems to iterated on Bad Company's 2 multiplayer. And frankly, Bad Company's multiplayer had more personality and charm. For someone who doesn't live on n4g.co...
Megatextures are a new technology which is admittedly limited by the fixed architecture of consoles. It's Id's multiplatform development strategy that has hampered the PC game's development. He's not making excuses, he's saying what the limitations are for the technology on the PS3 console. To say Rage is a disappointment is your opinion. Many frankly love and are enjoying the game so speak for yourself.
So many big games being released in the next few weeks that Assassin's Creed Revelations has almost been lost in the shuffle. I'm pretty sure some great reviews will raise its profile. Looking forward to it.
How, how has he lost credibility? Because some ignorant PC fanboys couldn't handle the truth? Because the reality of the gaming industry as a business is evident to everyone except said PC fanboys?
With the surprisingly high scores for Batman Arkham City and the expected high scores of Uncharted, I think Battlefield 3 is the game that suffers most. Many who were on the fence wondering if the should buy Arkham City just got their answer.
Gears of War 3's springs to mind. After Gears of War 2's multiplayer fiasco, Epic needed to rebuild the fanbase's trust in the multiplayer, which they did. Preorders skyrocketed after the beta launched.
@ Logic
You should know by now the logic used on n4g.com. Call of Duty did it, it's wrong. Microsoft did it with Gears 3 and Forza 4, it's wrong. EA does it with PS3 fanboy darling Battlefield 3, it's fine. Sony with Uncharted, it's fine. How long have you been posting here?
