Wow, talk about fanboy stupidity. To even rival Call of Duty, it has to be multiplatform. Considering 3 of the top 5 games in terms of sales of the PS3 are Call of Duty titles, being exclusive isn't an advantage.
@ iamnsuperman
Rockstar's tech is amazing. Red Dead Redemption proved the tech is scalable and that Rockstar knows how to craft amazing story and character development in an open world.
Yeah, what's with that? I don't understand why the PS3 version has such few reviews.
I think it will be set in Boston for some reason. That's the first thing I thought when I saw the green "five".
@ Winter47th
Be prepared because this is just the beginning. Let's be honest, the PC version differs vastly from the console versions. While the PC version is a true sequel to Battlefield 2, the consoles got Battlefield Bad Company 2.5. 5 hour campaign cut and pasted from past Call of Duty campaigns and a multiplayer that doesn't distinguish itself from Battlefield Bad Company 2. I mean seriously, what did you expect?
It did?! Seriously, who keeps track of stuff like that?
I think Battlefield 3 has the single player and multiplayer on separate discs. Don't quote me on that. There probably just wasn't enough space on the single player disc for the HD textures so an optional install would give those with a HDD the opportunity to experience to game as DICE intended.
Miserable Microsoft Mismanagement; Try saying that 3 times fast!
@ BrightFalls76
You sir are a moron! Peace!
The huge level of detail, the effort that 343 has put into remastering Halo CE, you have to feel confident about Halo 4. Clearly, they have a real reverence for the franchise.
Man, the effort that went into this is amazing. They could have just upscaled it fans would have rejoiced but this is such a huge gift to fans. It truly looks amazing.
I'm disagreeing with you because you're comparing apples to oranges. 2 years ago when Modern Warfare 2 was released, it probably was the standard. The bar has been raised since then with many great games using new technology and pushing new boundaries. Standards change as technology changes and new games provide much better experiences. So comparing it to a game 2 years old is just silly. Bioshock got a 10/10 for graphics in 2007 and admittedly, in 2007 it looked fantastic but it'...
While the city felt larger than Arkham Asylum, it didn't feel open. The places you can explore were limited to the game's story or side quests. Even exploration for collectibles didn't lead you off that linear path. I still felt there was way to much back tracking; a complaint I had with the first game.
No . . . they were pretty generous. Enjoying Rage but it's not a 9. Dead Rising 2 Off the Record a 9.5? Yeah, sure buddy! /sarcasm Pro Evo Soccer, definitely not a 9. Sesame Street Once Upon a Monster 8.5? Really?! And Warhammer 40,000 is not an 8.
"Critics love to say Microsoft doesn't innovate. Try telling that to the Entertainment and Devices Division which pulled in nearly $2 billion (yeah, that is just for one quarter). Can you say Xbox and Kinect? I thought you could."
Critics!? You mean the whinny fanboys on internet forums and gaming sites?!
I totally agree. It's too familiar to be engaging. It's not enough for it to look good, when it gives you that sense of been there, done that.
This game will be the standard bearer for what an HD remake/remaster should be. It's looking fantastic.
Dude, I know right. I'm reading the article and I'm like, WTF! Where is Bungie mentioned?!
Did they get better equipment or just common sense because the XBox 360 version performed better in the first game's comparisons but they still gave it to the PS3? Funny that, since Digital Foundry stated as much and every PS3 fanboy on n4g.com disagreed. Let's hear their comments this time.
Half the games mentioned in the article are almost guaranteed to be mediocre.
Gamefly shipped my copy yesterday. Decided to save my money for Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and Halo Aniversary. If the multiplayer is great, I'll pay the $10 for the online pass. It's not worth $60 for a forgettable campaign and mediocre coop, even if the multiplayer is great.
