Yeah, I love Forza 4 but that was even more fanboy bile than I can swallow.
Congratulations to Microsoft on their continued success. I hope they remember it's a supportive and forgiving fanbase that made them successful and don't let their success go to their heads.
@ geth1gh
How about you stop being a tool? You seem more obsessive in your disdain for Call of Duty than those who actually still love and enjoy the franchise. It's enough for the fanbase to have more guns, attachments, perks, killstreaks and maps in what has become a sandbox. Call of Duty is a social experience and it's clear by the hundreds of thousands who still log in to play every night, that they're getting their monies worth and don't need douche's ...
Single player looks like it may actually turn out to be damn good. Not just an add-on for what is a multiplayer game.
Fanboys want to believe that GT5 was nitpicked by reviewers, maybe that's true but for how long the game took to develop, people had higher expectations. The fact is, the game was disappointing. On so many levels, it just felt mediocre and that's just a fact.
Boycotting a game is easier said than done, especially when it's a great game. It's easier to forgive when you can argue the game is worth the investment which I think most will agree, Arkham City is. It's a horrifying trend in gaming but as long as a publisher can justify it's a quality investment, fans will be willing to pay extra for the experience.
Cross a mediocre shooter with a mediocre RPG and apparently you get a great franchise, or haven't you heard.
The guys over at Infinity Ward aren't too smart. If the support strike package streak doesn't reset, it isn't hard for a player to get to 18 kills and the armored air drop. Even if that air drop only provides support care packages, it's still an opportunity to get streaks like the advance UAV, stealth bomber, ballastic vests, turret and EMP. How is that balanced?
Aren't you guys tired of droning on and on about Call of Duty and how much it sucks? No one's actually paying attention.
Actually, it's the opposite. There were far more hardened editions supplied to retailers as there wouldn't be a prestige edition. The hardened edition also gets you access to all the DLC as it contains a year's subscription to Call of Duty Elite. Gamestop's been sold out since late August.
Why does the XBox 360 version have 40 plus reviews on metacritic and the PS3 version 16? Aren't the reviews for both versions of the game and not just 1?
How disappointing this gen has been with so many publishers and developers shipping unfinished games. Now, they're basically asking reviewers not to review the game they shipped because it isn't "finished". WOW! I hope reviewer don't fall for this BS. Clearly Battlefield 3 is a game that could have used a few months of polish rather than being clearly rushed to compete with Modern Warfare 3. This patch is clearly not a minor update if it would affect a reviewer's opi...
@ WhiteLightning
Doesn't matter what site you meant to mention, your logic is bullshit. Period!
Yeah, it is. I played Rivals from 7 last night to 5 this morning. Even though I picked up Arkham City yesterday, I haven't even opened it yet or finished Rage or played Gears of War 3 multiplayer in a week. It consumes your life.
I had no problems with the sawed-off shotgun's damage but the spread was insane. They didn't adjust the damage just the damage spread which I thought was necessary.
Why do they even called them HD collections? They just upscale the graphics with no improvements made to the details and textures.
Hasn't IGN's review already been posted?
The only place I see this negativity towards Call of Duty is on gaming sites and that's a small minority of the overall gaming community. Look at the numbers that continue to play and enjoy Call of Duty, continue to purchase DLC and enjoy new content. Call of Duty is a social and cultural phenomenon and that's why it gets the hate it does. Success breeds envy.
Ah . . . no one is claiming this isn't a big deal. Have you read most of the comments in those articles? The majority were negative reactions to online/season passes. No one wants to see this become common place and that's just what's happening.
You don't have to troll to lose bubbles, just have a bunch of over aggressive fanboys disagree with one of your comments. Not that the bubble system is flawed or anything. /sarcasm
