the halo crowd and the cod crowd are a lot different. and they have both been going back and forth for a while now. but, with the upcoming release of Gears 2, a lot of people are starting to play gears 1 again in preparation. and it's been my experience that gears of war players generally don't like halo but do like cod. so cod is losing some of its audience back to gears.

they are partner companies...or one is the parent company. either way, they still work together on them and they still share the exact same engine.
and that actually helps prove the point even more. neither company makes very good games. cod is basically a last gen game with scaled up resolution and hacky game play. the fact that they put the name on the box of 2 different companies proves further that is is MUCH more of a cash cow.

@all the people calling the Halo franchise a cash cow... i bet you love and praise COD4. but we get a Halo ever 3 years. COD has 3 games in 2 years. and there's another one coming out soon...and already a 6 in the works.
or how about every sports game. comes out once a year, and it's always basically the same thing.
i know people love to slam halo even though most of you probably played it for 10 minutes or less, but i consider it to STILL be the best FPS on cons...

obviously fanboys like to read FACTS and then turn them into something completely different. but since they are multiplatform (and by the way, ps3 doesn't have bioshock YET, so that doesn't count), they count for both systems. and the results are still better for 360. also, a lot of those scored better on 360, so it's still valid.
stop looking for excuses to love your corporation. just buy both systems and get over yourselves.

reminds me of just how powerful the first system was. a lot of those titles looked better than some of the games this generation do. too bad xbox entered the market so late, that would have easily been the dominating system if it had entered the same time as ps2. of the 3 systems that time around (not counting dreamcast), xbox was most powerful and ps2 was least. gamecube woulda done a lot better if they didn't use those stupid mini discs.
basically it's the same two games that have had it since they started this. and then SOME of the titles will eventually get it. and then SOME unreleased titles will have them.
that basically makes trophies pointless.
if all games aren't required to support then it doesn't mean anything. nice try sony.

this video makes me realize that game journalists have no backbone. they just sit there and kiss the ass of whomever they are interviewing. the game looks great, don't get me wrong, but it does not look as good as that original movie from 2005. he's standing with one of the developers, and the developer says "we hit the bar." i wanna hear someone say "uh...not quite." instead, this guy, just like most interviewers, just sounds like a bumbling idiot.
