It does keep selling, but this system DIES all the time! way more than 360...yet you don't hear any ps3 fanboys mention that about sony. every person i know, including myself, has gone through at least 2 ps2s.
still not sure why people put uncharted in the same category as this game...or most other games for that matter. i was hugely unimpressed with it. generic disney-style story, flimsy and repetative gameplay, mediocre graphics.
and while i agree the UE3 is getting old, Gears pushes its limits and actually makes it look impressive. No question this will be top selling exclusive of the year and most played online game for a loooong time.
if it were up to EA, they'd hold us all at gun point and force us to buy their unpolished, rushed games.
this is just another example of corporations forcing their 'law' onto the people. and they'll get away with it too. they'll buy a few politicians and the sheep population will lay there and take it.
There are probably 10 really good games coming out before december on 360 so this will give it a chance to reach more people. plus everyone loves gta and will start to want more eventually. i got sick of every gta after a few weeks of playing in the sandbox, but after a year i wanted more. i think this is a much better move than to try to cram it in with Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Force Unleashed, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Mercenaries 2, Saints Row 2, Left 4 Dead, Mirror's Edge, End War, Midnig...
that's what peripherals are for. every guy has that skill mastered by age 14.
well they've been talking for a while about infrared motion detection. basically it'll just track your finger movement. so there won't be a physical keyboard. you could easily do the same for a mouse. i'm not sure how'd i'd feel about that for gaming. and i'm just guessing, but we'll see. but i do think it's mouse related.
yeah, and halo 2 and halo 3 never mention the other surviving Spartans but they were in the books. could easily make a squad based halo that has similar mechanics but is more co-op focused.
i wouldn't mind seeing a halo 3 expansion that does what Valve did with the first Half Life. a game where we get to play as a marine or some other character and see the story unfold from their perspective. they sort of did that in halo 2 where you play both sides of the story and watch them...

killzone 1 and resistance 1 were mediocre at best so your hype for these franchises is senseless. how can anyone say "no halo" and then say "yes killzone" that's just silly. killzone 1 was pretty much a joke, and resistance 1 was a halo knock off. nuff said.

i took a HUGE break from Halo 3 but when i came back it made me realize just how much fun it is. i do see the difference in graphics, but in terms of quality, diversity, etc...it's top notch. they mix it up every weekend with new game types. have xp weekends. just everything about it is just done with the user in mind. they did a huge service for online gamers. even if you don't like it, which is just a bandwagon thing, the games you do like wouldn't be where they are without it.

achievements and trophies work the same way, so if you can sell one, i'm sure you can sell the other.
