i highly doubt this game is going to be the amazing, life-changing experience a lot of people seem to be turning this into.
and how did this thread turn into a halo discussion? first of all...call of duty is a multiplatform title and didn't touch halo sales. second, halo is already showing it's going to be popular long after cod 4 is forgotten and we're up to call of duty 8 or whatever we're on.

Just to comment on the Resistance vs Gears multiplayer...if gears had that many people i wouldn't want to play it. 60 people is WAY too much for Gears. It might work for resistance, but it just wouldn't for gears...though i doubt it'll work for resistance either, but we'll see.

I don't care at all about this game, but if i have a break between Too Human, Mercenaries 2, Fall Out 3, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, Saints Row 2, Fable 2, The Force Unleashed, Fracture, Resistance 2, Midnight Club, End War, Mirror's Edge, and Gears of War 2, i might check it out....

this game is too overhyped. and here's an article that supports that claim. the title says it's a definite killer app, then you read it and realize it's just more speculation. fanboys, stop overhyping you games! i was looking forward to this til i started hearing about how it's going to be the greatest game ever. it looks okay - good. certainly not great, and most certainly not a game so amazing that Roger Ebert will finally recognize video games as a tru art form.

i have both systems, nothing on my ps3 blows my mind. not that anything on 360 blows my mind either. the only game with graphics that are that good is Crysis.
but your claim that the animations are better? well in metal gear solid 4 when you shoot a guy, it's like they get stuck...like a broken record, til you kill them. you notice this best when using an automatic weapon against those female soldiers. not that i'm slamming ...

360 is a powerful piece of hardware jammed very tightly into a small box. they have limited space if they wanna keep the system light so they don't overload the system with fans. this means, as an owner, you have to USE YOUR HEAD. it's not a gamecube or a ps2, it needs to breath. so people still jam their units into cramped spaces along with their TV, VCR, DVD player, Surround Sound, etc...then they wonder why it over heats. do you buy a new car and just assume it will work at prime condit...
like anyone will care or remember in a year.
stealing a whole library of discs would be much harder. plus that was just one possible scenario that he mentioned. the bigger one would be system failure or HDD failure.

everyone made this game out to be a lot of things it definitely is not. this is definitely not on my must buy list. and it's at the bottom of my gamefly list too. doesn't look interesting, or entertaining. and i agree with original article, the majority of the user created content will be lame.
