They did put on a good show, that's for sure. I liked what i saw. Sony did some exciting stuff too, though most of it was stuff i already expecte. nintendo was...well....
The reason i think MS won the event was just because of how unexpected their announcements were and how interesting a lot of it sounded - like Primetime.

Halo 1 is the best single player. Halo 3 is the best multiplayer and co-op. and i can say that....cuz i didn't skip any of them.
This isn't about a difference in opinion. it's about declaring something is better than something else after also saying you skipped one or more of them. Kinda reminds me of rednecks spouting "America is the greatest country in the world" even though they've never been anywhere else.
but it's the best online fps in a long time. team fortress classic was great, so was goldeneye (for the time - 4 player split screen), and counter strike. But in terms of this generation, halo 3 just has by far the best balancing, the best pace, etc... every other game is just trying to copy its success.

i'm pretty sure this article is about THIS footage. and, the comments i was commenting on were based on this video as well. besides, regardless of the footage vs what is actually in the game, it still looks like it belongs on super nintendo.

I wasn't aware that Netflix allowed you to party with up to 7 other friends and chat with them while watching the same movie, and then without having to do anything other than switch to a game, the same party can instantly go into the game and play that.

So it would be on multiple discs. i would MUCH RATHER take a few seconds to swap a disc than watch Snake smoke a cigarette for 8 minutes in between each act. this whole "blu ray is amazing" movement is pure garbage from the fanboys. it does have more storage, but the trade off is huge install times. i'd rather just swap the discs.
their whole attitude during that show was just "look at our numbers." "we don't even have to try and you will still buy our gimmicky crap." and they're right. they somehow brainwashed several million ppl into buying a machine they hardly use and buy games that, to the gamer, look so bland and boring. @eddierivera, we haven't even seen in game footage of MAG. sounds like the 2 games will be very different, but we can't really compare so you don't know what kinda competition it will be.
