I'm trying hard not to be a fanboy, but my common sense and foresight just can't help preferring one more than the other. I feel that as long as I have good reasons for doing so, it's much less fanboyish.

Only when Thomas Marynowski writes the review (which he usually does). He used to be a bit 360-biased, but he has gotten his act together, and now I trust him more than any of the big sites out there.

It's quite clear you get your "facts" from the 360 fanboys on the street.
Know this:
* The XBOX360 has been out in Europe for 35 months.
* The PS3 has been out in Europe for 19 months.
* Today, the number of PS3s and XBOX360s in Europe are nearly equal.
* The PS3 has a huge lead (percentagewise) over XBOX360 in Japan.
* The PS3 outsold XBOX360 worldwide last year and is on track for doing it this year too.
You're wrong about point 3.

PS3 games have been available for download pretty much since day 1, but you won't be able to play them before someone figures out how.
You can't simply just burn a downloaded PS3 game onto a Blu-ray and play it. You need a modded PS3, and I haven't even heard about a mod for PS3 yet.
So yes, it's a waste of time.

not even _one_ of the torrents in your PS3 link has anything to do with the PS3. It's all movies, TV shows, PSP games or games/programs for Windows.
I've noticed Sony never mentions the competition in their responses, while MS always seem to do so with some kind of comparison.
Nothing has changed regarding that. The price is lower and they sell more, but they earn less (if anything) per box sold. It works for MS because they drain their customers for money in all other areas. Imho it's a bad long term strategy.
I was planning on getting Last Remnant, but after seing the first video (at link below) I have changed my mind. The slowdown and popin with is downright embarrasing for the system it's running on. The ground is almost completely flat and there is absolutely no detail in the background. None of this would have mattered too much if I'd liked the gameplay though, however I didn't.
Hopefully the PS3 gets the more polished version, but I have my doubts, as 360 supposedly was the lea...
