Even if it can't record HDMI doesn't mean you can't use HDMI from PS3 to your TV. Just use a splitter which is the best option anyway considering input lag, although from experience it doesn't seem like the HD PVR has any.
The HD PVR works just fine on 64bit Windows 7 for me.
I see no good reason why Sony and MS has to change their plans according to what Nintendo is doing.
The Wii2 will be more powerful than PS3 and 360, but not by much, so I have a feeling we'll see alot of 3rd party games going PS3/360/Wii2 multiplatform. The install base of PS3+360 is too big to ignore from a business standpoint.
Not to mention, 3rd parties have pretty much abandoned the Wii already, so if anything it seems more likely to me that devs ...
Bigger and better would also mean longer development times and I think they are long enough already. And that's not even considering that new hardware will further increase the development times.
Hardcore shooter guys play on PC.
I'm buying Outland the second PSN is up. No money from me is lost.
Streaming demos? You mean like OnLive? You think those soccer moms you're talking about got enough bandwidth for that? No way.
Ye, it's my job.
And it's hard to care about disagrees when what I said isn't even an opinion.
Unless the hackers can decrypt the credit card data there's really nothing to be afraid of, and I'd say it's very unlikely that they'll be able to. It's not like in the movies where given a few hours any encryption can be broken. Brute forcing a common encryption algorithm used today (Rijndael) will take billions of years.
Also, the account passwords were hashed so not even Sony knows your password, and thus neither do the hackers.

I payed 250 NOK for SC2 day one. That's half the price of a normal PC game, and length-wise it's way more than twice of Portal 2 which was a fullprice game. We also don't know the price of the next 2 pieces yet.

I noticed. A little surprising considering the impression I've got that UK is the only place in EU where 360 is popular.
Norway has an insane amount of accounts per capita. More than both Japan and US. And that's not even considering some people have both Japanese and US accounts in addition to their real account.
What a stupid question. Even if it was deleted (which is very unlikely) they would obviously have at least one backup. It's not like they have all their data on only one disk, hoping it doesn't die.
You didn't understand my point at all, did you? "Opinion" <- look it up.
It's funny and a bit scary that some people get angry when someone has a different opinion than themselves. Reviews are opinions, even "professional" ones.
I'd give FF13 a score above 9/10 too. Played it through twice. Got platinum first time.
Netcode can only do so much. The biggest reason for lag is the speed of light, and there's not much we can do to improve that.
@HeavenlySnipes
And doing what you want when you want with some generic character is exactly what makes the story suffer. Stories are by definition linear and generic characters are by definition generic.
If I find myself in the situation where I'd rather do something else than continuing on with the story, then guess what? I can play another game, or.. (crazy thought).. an activity not related to gaming.
In any case, a game can sti...
With just one eye you can't experience 3D even in the real world.
Using a splitter you can still get HDMI from the PS3 to your TV while recording with the HD PVR.
