The perceived difference between 30 and 60 fps is much bigger than between 60 and 120 fps.
At least this means the industry will take security more seriously from now on. It's been an eye opener for everyone.
Believe it or not, but a big majority were entertained by it. Its userscore of 8.3 on Metacritic is a good indicator that outside the farm of sheep that is N4G the hate of FFXIII isn't strong at all.
And btw, its average review score is between 83 and 85 depending on which aggregate site you use.
If you can't affort to dislike a game you obviously need to do better research before you buy.
When did they say they made XIII-2 to address the complaints? Can you give a link?
I hope they'll do the same as with the PS Vita. Good hardware at a good price.
What did I just say? The capability of outputting 1080p doesn't say anything about computational power. You're agreeing with me, and you don't even seem to understand it.
But it goes both ways. Saying that the Wii U can output 1080p doesn't mean it's powerful enough to make good use of it. The PS3 proved that. Not that it needed proving, because that's just obvious.
Supporting native 1080p is no big deal. The PS3 did that 5 years ago. Anything with HDMI can in theory output 1080p, but that says nothing about how powerful it is.
What's the point of even speculating? Nintendo has clearly said that it's only one controller per console. The controller won't even be sold separately.
The history of consoles is way too short to draw any statistical conclusions from it.
Many comment on the fact that he said "family of six", but fail to realize that the problem is the same for 2-player multiplayer.
The main issue is that the console only supports _one_ of those huge controllers at the same time. They are not even sold separately.
Multiplayer has to be done with Wiimotes. Nintendo has said this themselves.
Ye, it'll look the same, just with less pixels.
Ok, so basically, these shots are much better looking than what the game will end up looking like on the Vita. Because the Vita has almost half(*) the pixels of those shots.
(*) 960*544 / 1280*720 = 57% pixels
How come the Vita screenshots are 1280x720 with no signs of upscaling? The Vita screen is only 960x544. Something is fishy.
Nothing weird about playing Kingdom Hearts at 26 years old.
Well, that isn't true for me. I find that whenever I got back to play some old game for nostalgia I end up regretting it. It never is as good as I remember it.
I suppose I'm better at adapting than at nostalgia. Which is good for me, cause all new games are... not old games.
Pulling me in? Well it didn't work on me. I'm not as easily swayed by big words and little information as you clearly are. I was actually more optimistic about the new Wii before E3.
To me it seems that Nintendo it just trying too hard to be different. That goes for both the console and the presentation. I'm not saying different is bad, but this time the difference is not something I wanted.
So it's a huge controller with a touchscreen. It...
You're also probably twice as old now. What you find fun changes with age.
Sure, Square has changed since then, but the players have changed even more. Noone seem to even consider that when spewing out their meaningless hate.
I can't believe you expected otherwise. All companies do this. Telling you about all the good things, while leaving out the bad things. It's called marketing, and it takes just a tiny bit of intelligence to see through it.
Care to elaborate on the storyline? You seem to know something which noone else outside SE does...
For me it's the opposite. While higher resolution certainly is a good thing, 30 fps is just not smooth to my eyes.
Competitively speaking, fps is also much more important than resolution. Less input lag and better precision on fast movements. (Although the latter only applies when using a mouse or PS Move. Controller movements are not nearly fast enough.)
