You are the one not understanding Rynx. It's both funny and sad that you think otherwise.
Portable cassette/CD players were dead long before iPod released. People had been using various MP3 players for many years already. Also there was MiniDisc in between.
But does the 3DS even have bluetooth? Bluetooth is a huge power drain.
I know at least two consoles which got pretty much all the stuff he wants, and they already exist. Why wait?
Yup, creating games is extremely time consuming. Still, gamers everywhere complain about how expensive games are.
This isn't news.
World of Warcraft and many other MMOs are already like this and noone has whined a bit. WoW is free to download, you only pay for the key. (And then monthly subscription of course.)
A 6 year old story.
Yup, it's pointless to disagree with these numbers:
3DS:
* Vertex performance: Maximum 15.3M polygons/sec
* Pixel performance: Maximum 800M pixels/sec
* Screen resolution: 400 x 240 per eye
NGP:
* Vertex performance: Maximum 133M polygons/sec
* Pixel performance: Maximum 4G pixels/sec
* Screen resolution: 960 x 544
And 60fps!
And if I'd have to choose, then 60fps > 1080p.
I'm talking historically. Right now, Hz isn't even a good measurement for how good a CPU is.
It only needs to be ~1/4 as powerful as the PS3. 1080p has 4x the pixels of the NGP resolution (960x544). So this is perfectly plausible.
I guess they mean the full resolution of the NGP.
There is no "original FF gameplay". It has been changed numerous times. Unless you mean the gameplay in FF1, which by today's standards is pretty bad.
600 MHz to 1 GHz was a much bigger leap in effective processing power than dual core to quad core was.
Well, the rest of the world managed to do it. The metric system is just an infant compared to the old measurements, so it's not like anyone used it from the beginning.
Horny Melon,
Then I guess we gamers should really thank Sony for caring more about their fans (us) than going for the big market (non-gaming adults and teens).
That date format is by far the most common in the world. It's pretty much only US and Canada that write the month first. I'm curious as to why :)
Btw, you're also among the three last countries in the world to not use the metric system!
You're not in any minority group. It's just popular to hate on FF13. On this site especially for some reason.
In addition, many of those who hate on it will buy it day 1 anyway. It's all talk.
So you're comparing prerendered to prerendered. What's the point?
Yes, the math is simple, but your assumptions are off.
You assume for some reason that "sold Worldwide" means "connected to the internet", but that's a ridiculous assumption. It doesn't take much intelligence to understand the difference.
What's more likely is that the number displayed is the number of units sold after Q2 2010, which indeed was exactly 41.6 million.
