Sounds like it was cataclysmic for him....

Man that intro is so epic, Gears of war 2 was my favourite.

These executions have been around since Halo Reach days 9 years ago. Killzone's had them. Doom has had them. Battlefield has had them. You could curb stomp in Gears of war back in 2006.

I don't know what kind of games you've been playing if you think this is something new and disturbing. Maybe it's realistic military style makes it seem more closer to home, but many games with similar styles have had them.

This. I don't see how that's villainous.

This is a definitely a huge concern for an all-digital future. Along the fact that they can control whatever price they want you to pay even 5 years later, like Destiny and Call of Duty. You can't even buy the original games anymore, they just re-bundle them and force you to pay full price again.

I think highly exaggerated arcade-shooter-action has an audience. There's no statistic saying current gen gamers gravitate towards realistic shooters only, every game has to find its audience. How arcadey is Fortnite? How arcadey is Overwatch? These games sprung up during call of duty realistic military games popularity.

It's not going to be the next Fortnite, but with an existing small fanbase and good advertising it can find its niche. After all there are many gam...

Lol nah. Gears 4 was well received and 5 looks amazing.

Very interesting!

Man this looks so exciting. I think Gears 5 and Borderlands 3 will be my fall games to play, given the time I can spare.

Perfect Dark zero had such great ideas, i really wish they built another game off those ideas. The secondary abilities on weapons gave it some good tactical diversity, and multiplayer was actually fun. It just needed a bunch of improvements but it had a really good foundation.

"Realistic violence" doesn't mean it has the same impact as exaggerated realistic violence. You can argue that Wolfenstein has a greater psychological impact because you can see gore and dismemberment in far more detail. It also looks more realistic graphically compared to PUBG which looks like a last gen game. It has realistic gameplay yes, but I think seeing a guy's head chopped off with an axe is much more violent.

I totally missed out on the tech test, can't wait till Sept 6th!!

I'm looking forward to this mode, it's a nice change of pace from gnashers.

Have to admit I like it more than any Call of duty game in recent years, finally doesn't look like rehashed trash.

Yes I had played the first, and it was worse but Uncharted 1 wasn't regarded as one of the greatest games of last gen like Uncharted 2 was. I'm not arguing it wasn't amazing by any means, but i hold it up to a higher standard.

Calm down, would you rather have the first one not be on PS4 at all?? Somehow that makes it better for you?

It has nothing to do with taking advantage, what advantage do they get?

They bought Obsidian when the game was already well into development on all platforms, and part of the deal was to keep it that way, it's pretty damn simple. It would be worse if they forced Obsidian to not release on PS4 and have them lose out on potential sales.

I think it was the redeeming Naughty Dog game for me after Uncharted 2. As amazing as Uncharted 2 was graphically/cinematically, I just found the gameplay shortcomings were overlooked. To break it down, puzzle solving and platforming were great, but the gunplay was terrible. The shooting mechanics were wonky and imprecise, and damage feedback felt like I was throwing rocks instead of shooting. Part of it was the mechanics being bad, and part of it was the T rating which made the characters re...

Because demos aren't better promotional tools than Gamepass, you barely even see them advertised, and when they are it's just one tile in the marketplace section saying "demo available".

As the developer says, on Gamepass there is so much more exposure because when Gamepass itself is advertised its games vicariously get promoted, it has its own page on the dashboard, and people spend a lot of time scrolling through Gamepass lists.

I do...

The game is free to play 2 years later when everyone's already bought millions of copies. The vanilla game has little value anyhow, making it free to play now doesn't justify overcharging for DLC.

"Unreal how many low lives their are not wanting a company to make money."
For years they re-bundled DLC with the base game and forced you to pay full price the game again or pay above average for DLC by itself. They've already made a fuckton of mone...
