Halo and Gears are two of the best multiplayer franchises out there for many fans. If I'm going to pay for Xbox live to play them, then I'm going to buy all other multiplayer games like BF/COD/whatever on Xbox too. Gamepass is also the greatest subscription service right now, I've been able to enjoy so many games on there that I would've had to pay $60 for if I only had a PS4.

Forza is ones of the greatest racing franchises, and although Crackdown 3 was not the best reviewed game, there's nothing regretful about playing it. His criticism of the lack of exclusives is correct, but his dismissal of existing games isn't.

On the exclusive side it's true, but you don't see him praising Gamepass which provides a better value than anything Nintendo or Sony have conjured up.

What's people's gripe with this game? Looks pretty amazing visually although the enemies are generic, but haven't seen much anyway. I would argue it's the other way around. As in, Microsoft hasn't worked on exclusivity at all, for a while now. Halo was one of the highest selling franchise on any platform during Halo 2/3 days, Gears of war 1 and 2 sold about 10 million on the 360. They would have done fine if they kept investing in first party but they chose not to, which in turn has made their first party lineup unreliable and small.

Halo 5 had REQ packs which had barely any impact on multiplayer. They also provided new free content every month for over a year, new maps, new skins, new weapons. They even added a custom games browser. Halo 5 has been quite blessed with content and probably has the least intrusive microtransactions in the industry.
Sure but the best thing about Halo is that people can create their own battle royale modes. It already exists in Halo 5 and with more forge/custom options Halo Infinite can have it without it being official.

You missed the part where PCs are double the cost of an Xbox. Yes you can "build" a cheaper PC, but I guarantee you wouldn't be able to build one for $150-$200, you can easily find an XB1 for that price.
