Do you need PSN to play or does it work like the F2P games?
You mean a non-issue that no one who actually plays Gears has ever complained about?
it's interesting how a change in engine and recoil makes the game look much fresher than all wild the crap they've tried to add in the past.
I don't know how the hell people play this shit on a touch screen, you would need a controller extension which defeats the purpose of mobile.
And Uncharted is no Gears. Every Third person shooter owes its combat to Gears, and it's still the king of TPS gunplay and multiplayer. Uncharted on the other hand is unmatched for its set pieces and cinematic gameplay.
You can't just have both options if the game is gameplay centric. Fallout third person is just a change in camera, the character looks like a floating idiot. If that's all you want then the third person is just there to check out your character, not for gameplay. Third person shooters are best when they're cinematic, and when they're cinematic the character animations are all over the place, if you add a first person option you either sacrifice that cinematic gameplay or you s...
I believe they will also provide an overall score, which I think is necessary and shouldn't just be an average. The game was essentially reviewed as 2 separate games by many outlets, but it's all in one package. There aren't many games out there with such strong single player and multiplayer components.
@IRetrouk
And i agree with that. I wasn't arguing about the content of the article but I was showing the person i responded to that there's nothing wrong with comparing graphics across platforms and no one had an issue with claiming God of war had the best graphics ever. The comments here mostly automatic dismissals.
"most playstation exclusives blow gears 5 out of the water"
You know that's BS. They're all incredible looking but only 2 compare, which are US4 and God of war, neither "blow it out of the water". If you said it was arguable, i would be able to take you seriously. You played it a bit, I finished it, and I've finished about every major exclusive on playstation. You don't see the best a game has to offer from just playing it a little bit, s...
“there is more to a game than fps and resolution. Attention to detail, fluidity, art style, and things like that matter also”
Certainly, but there is objective and subjective. You can objectively make an argument that Gears has better attention to detail, fluidity, etc., or you can make an argument that God of war or UC4 or Battlefield have better this or that. Point is it’s all fair game, and you claiming it’s an outright “lie” highlights your bias.

@crazyCoconuts
Prettier is subjective though. I definitely agree God of war was very polished, but it's not 4k nor is it 60 fps, you can arguably offset some bad textures with double the frame rate. Gears 5 is also much less linear than before with a ton of enemies on screen at once. I didn't play on 4k, but it looks just as polished on regular settings, 4k tends to highlight texture inconsistencies more.
Gears 4 had a 30 fps campaign, Gears 5 has 60 fps. Clearly if you played either of those games you'd realize, the environmental detail is also far ahead of Gears 4.
It's kind of clickbaity yea, but why is it a lie? Why do people assume everything on PS4 is untouchable? I have both consoles, and PS4 certainly has the best collection of games graphically overall, and Uncharted 4 was graphically the best game I had ever played (along with God of war) but this beats Uncharted 4. Most comparisons are subjective, but none of the powerhouse PS4 games are 60 fps so why is it so far-fetched to believe?
Also Last of Us 2 could beat it next y...
Well after reading the article I can say the headline is stupid and hurts whatever point the article was trying to make. It's not an "unpleasant" setting. The author could have titled it, "Greedfall has detailed role playing, but the interesting setting could have used more depth in storytelling". You're asking for knee-jerk reactions with
that headline.
Going through the campaign and it feels like one of the best action games ever. Graphics are incredible, set pieces are top notch, there's enough depth with the upgrades and semi-open world to give it a really fresh feel, and the gameplay is still unmatched.
Do these reviews even get reflected on metacritic? I've seen a ton of reviews pour over the past 24 hours yet the metacritic review count is still at the same.
"Which means, yes, if I were going to score it, I’d give it Hair/10. Gosh, I miss hair. Thanks for reading…"
lol good review, i enjoy a non-numerical review once in a while, so people focus more on the content rather than the score.
i would love to see it
