Yep this game is going to re-define the role-playing genre again just like Skyrim.

From what I saw on Reddit these skins are not designed by Insomniac artists but from content creators, which is why they are exclusive. They likely don't want to make them available for everyone since they would likely have to pay royalties and probably don't match their art design.

I am expecting one of the planets will literally be Skyrim.

Sales aren't important the lack of sales are made up in MTX and DLC money, the same thing happened in the mobile market.

This is good for MS it means they no longer have to wait until 2024 for their trial.

Yep the rumours of all Sony's studios being in development hell are pretty much true at this rate. We already got confirmation about Naughty Dog and SSM will like be absent until the end of the gen.

Looks like Sony will just have GaaS games and expansions packs masked as sequels.

I expect a lot of 3rd party deals going forward since that's the only way they will have any games.

We already knew this, some people are still in denial though.

Seriously looks like CGI, PG really are going to keep their graphics crown at this rate.

Wow delayed in definitely seems like Deep Down 2.0, I wonder if it's because Sony cut funds again.

Seems like there is a trend of games being announced at Sony presentations then disappearing like Abandoned, Deep Down, that GaaS game with all the layoff, KOTOR and the old favourite Agent.

So you just opening admitted Sony has no games but GaaS, thanks for that I know it must have been hard to say :)

@darkrider
List them then, tell me all the non GaaS games from Sony's first party (not paid 3rd/2nd party games) you have coming.

I will even help you start, you have 2 marvel games go..... :)

Zelda was 30fps and it didn't stop it being amazing, same will be true with Starfield.

You should be more concerned with the fact that the only games you have to play in the future with be GaaS, instead of a game would will never get to play.

Hopefully it sticks the landing SE needs a win.

They could have released it in 2021 if MS hadn't bought them!? That's crazy considering that included the PS version too.

The amount of extra polish and content they added in those 2 years must be huge.

The only ones complaining about FPS are the gamers who won't be able to play the game, so try again :)

This will easily be the Game of the Generation. The response from pretty much every gaming site has been the deep dive exceeded expectations.

This game will be insane.

Actually I am a software engineer (not game dev) so I have some idea of how these things work. Having a bunch of interactive objects affects how high you can get the frame rates. Have you never seen a video when someone throws a fireball in a store in Skyrim? The frame rate plummets since all those objects have physics, Bethesda games are unique like that. Most other games have no interactive objects and everything is just static.

I am sure they could get it to 60fps is the...

Yeah we do they are games lol

982d ago 3 agree19 disagreeView comment

For linear games or basic open world games sure, but something like Starfield with all those interactive objects would be a massive feat to get to 60fps especially considering how good it looks already.

He mentioned in the articles it hits 60fps a lot but they wanted it consistent so they locked it at 30fps, so it's possible we might get a 40fps mode sometime in the future.
