Dang, they really are expanding to a service model. I can see them sticking to software (if their new studios deliver) late next gen.
Especially with mobile device technology taking leaps and bounds each year.

They stream regularly, so it’s not hard to find gameplay to “see what this game is”. They’ve made games with journalists/guests in their sessions and show off features all the time.
I will buy PSVR, obviously for the new VR AAA games, but also for the fact that it might be DREAMS compatible for the beta and full release.

Isaac Clarke’s suit from dead space. I remember seeing the design as so futuristic when it originally came out. I’m a huge space nerd, so I was interested in the game from the start. I remember playing through and feeling badass yet safe in the suit. The game and suit were designed so well that I actually felt immersed enough to feel a little more secure in my play style once the suit was on. The exosuit like vibe is probably why I think the character design of Isaac looks so awesome.
RPGs are my go to and most enjoyable for me! I’m not too particular about what type of RPG, but anything with good progression and a good story always makes me feel satisfied when I spend a good amount of time playing.
Microtransactions! I know people had brought this up and some could argue that most times they’re not forced on you. But I honestly see them as the few inches gamers have given developers. And unfortunately some developers in the industry will take those inches and go a mile if it fits their agenda.
In the end it hurts our wallet as gamers if the direction for them becomes piecemeal game experiences. While they are one thing I hate about this gen, I’m so glad it’s happenin...
The push to integrate with mobile devices. Definitely not saying I expected more mobile games, but rather the cross functionality between them. Games like watchdogs did it early on and other games like The Division showed examples of this. But in the end it became nothing but a gimmick for some games. It would be great to see more integration like that next gen!
Yup, when it launched in early access and even its “official” launch. It’s still a buggy mess right now.

No but they invested heavily in and launched a buggy mess with PUBG which ended up getting eaten up by the stupid crazy uptake in Fortnite.
It has nothing to do with principles. They need to remember that these gamers are “niche” and that they don’t have the same influence on the market as larger communities. Doesn’t make it or them more right or wrong, but it’s the truth. If the company moves in that direction and 2% of their fanbase has an outcry, then it’s not a big deal. If it was a change that bothered 50% of the fanbase, of course it’s a big deal to them that will have influence for change.

No kidding. I get being bothered by the censorship of the “intimacy” nonsense, if that’s their thing. But they could just easily play it on another console if it’s thag much of a bother. No longer playing on that platform because there’s censorship on intimacy is a little over dramatic in my opinion.

Crash Tag-Team Racing on PS2...and not just because of the gameplay.

Star Wars Battlefront on PS2. I played the local co-op against my younger brother day-in and day-out. The game was so beyond it’s time when it came to fun and scale. So many memories of us even testing the game to its limits (could we hide the whole match and still win, what was the highest point we could climb on in every map).
My PS2 is in the closet right now, but man do I now have an itch to play SWBF right now.
