That’s the thing, most Xbox games this aren’t really geared toward that. The lack of story driven games is what’s made it feel so lack luster on that end.
I literally just play Siege and sometimes PUBG, when my closest friend has time to play. Our jobs have both changed for the better money wise recently, so my gaming time has diminished.
“I’m looking forward to the next-generation Xbox console...”
I read this in so many Xbox articles. Are Xbox fans that desperate to get out of this gen?
It takes a lot generally for a game to move me. Ori was close when I saw the walkthrough, some gaming scenes make me sad.
But the only true game to actually move me and make me break down was The Last Guardian. Not an Xbox exclusive, but if we’re talking about a game that moves people they’re hard to come by.
What are you even talking about? When did I say that the one/one s only does 720p?? Don’t start making spins on my comment to avoid the conversation at hand.
Read the article, watch the video. No one is defending anything, we’re discussing what the article is talking about. If you’re here to defend one or the other, then this thread isn’t for you.
I don’t think Digital Foundary’s content on articles gets addressed THAT much.
The games looked and played worse on Xbox and it’s only gotten worse. What do you expect?
The only thing that was “EVERYDAY ALLDAY ON THIS VERY SITE” was the excuses MS used and that you and many others fell for and constantly regurgitated:
- DX12 will makes games look much better than PS4 exclusives
- CloudPower = to 4 Xbox Ones
- Secret Untapped Hardware that was supposed to be released in one of the 10 UI changes.
- Kinect Removal will...
“I seriously doubt the next Xbox will be inferior to Sony’s next PS in terms of visuals. MS seems to have learned their lesson...”
And Sony learned a lesson that they can continue to have quality and quantity in games (exclusive and non-exclusive). I think that lesson is going to carry over to next gen where we’ll see them do both again with ease.
“You could say the same thing about sony . The vast majority of ps4 owners don't own a pro they own the ogps4 or the slim.“
Both groups play much better versions of games. No 720p games here. You’re just making my argument more valid and the argument of the article more valid. Glad you agree with me 😃
With the vast majority of MS’ player base playing on a One/One S, something like 80% or more...I don’t see why people keep giving MS a pass or say they’re improving. It literally has played games at their worst version all this gen.
And it looks like this may be the case for next gen too based on all the “rumors”. Could this push Xbox into a more software only focus in the future? Possibly 🤔
My game of the year was Shadow of the Colossus.
I know it was a remaster but it was an experience I had only heard people rave about when it had initially come out. The experience I got from it was beyond memorable. I searched online for lore or anything else I could find because the story was so simple yet delivered just enough to made me more curious as to why things happened the way they did. On top of the story, the massive scale felt from fighting the colossi made it e...
That’s a heck of a deal!
You can price match at Best Buy and get the $25 gift card from their promotion. Basically making it about $45.
Just got one yesterday with this deal. Their system was updated to not require a manager now that I can check the system for already available price matches. Basically, the price reduction is there but you won’t get it unless you ask.
Reactive to something that was already reactive? Lol ok
Oh dang! I totally missed this. Was looking through a trip to California that I took this year and last year at the same week (right after the switch launched) and got them confused.
Thank you for orienting me back to the present!
Honestly the switch launch was my favorite bit of news. I had and still have the Wii U, but I was beyond excited to finally have a console that would meet Nintendo’s true vision of a portable home console.
Whoever bet on this horse is going to lose out again. This is going to be one of the biggest flops of 2019.
Bluepoint Games for me! I would say that their work with Shadow of the Colossus and the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection, has impressed me on what they’re able to deliver.
I’m looking forward to the next project they’re working on. I haven’t heard anything except a few rumors to what it is. Nonetheless, whether exclusive or multiplat no one can argue that they put some heart and soul into the remasters that they do. Good quality work in my eyes.
Maybe because those “next gen consoles” articles are half-baked rumors for desperate fanboys wanting this gen to be over and this article above is actually a well written article based on Phil’s talking points...from himself.
Try not to hurt your head. It’s not that complicated of an answer to your question.
Domination is almost guaranteed! They’re so far ahead of the market, it’s incredible. No one else has more first party studios than they do, no one has established gaming franchises, no other company has had more generations of consoles worth of experience, and no one definitely has an already working streaming service with years of improvement behind it. /s
