Realistic physics in games will never catch on. Lara Croft would keep falling over forwards.

My kids would love this. Speaking of, any word on 'Sorcery'?

Huh. The coverage in Qore made this thing look completely puerile, aimed at the sensibility of a 13-year-old.

But if the gameplay is good, and the humor actually *works*, that's a different story. I'll wait and see, I guess.

Having so much fun with this game. Looking forward to Father's Day when I can get more than an hour at a stretch.

As Abraham Lincoln said in a book review, "People who like this sort of thing will find this the sort of thing they like."

Looks like this game has a somewhat narrower appeal than many other games. I liked the first, I'll probably enjoy this one; but my gaming time is even more limited than my budget, so I'll have to wait a bit.

I can see the argument both ways. At first, I was like, "WTF? The licensing cost can't possibly be significant." On the other hand, streaming video is really coming along.

The Wii practically printed money because they saw a niche for casual games and went for it. They didn't need CPU and GPU horsepower, and didn't spend money on it. So while it's surprising... I'm reluctant to second-guess Nintendo.

The other feature that might ...

I'm following the same course I did with Infamous 1; first play through on good/medium, then evil/hard. It's easier when you don't have to worry about killing civvies.

How fortunate no one has forced you to buy either! :)

There is simply no way I2 could score less than I1. The framerate is better than I1, the graphics are better (including smoke), and there are fewer bugs. (And seriously, I haven't run into the camera issues they describe.)

If Edge gave I1 a 7, there is simply no way to justify giving I2 a 6. The UCG stuff alone should have raised it a point, let alone all the other improvements.

If you enjoyed Infamous, you *will* enjoy Infamous 2. Period.

One SPU is disabled because, when making chips, defects happen. Some chips don't pass tests, and get thrown out.

But with the PS3, if one of the SPUs is broken, they can still use the chip. It's simply a cost-saving, production issue.

By now, after a few few years, they probably do have good yields and relatively few broken SPUs. But they can't enable an extra SPU in all PS3s, since for many (most?) of those PS3s, the SPU wouldn't work.

Mine was waiting when I got home. The backpack is actually pretty well-made, and while statuettes aren't my thing, it's better than I thought. Listening to the soundtrack right now; very jazzy. :)

If you haven't played it, go for it. Lots of fun just to wander around.

Hold circle on the way down.

I only got a few hours last night, but it was a great time. Lots of little touches, just polished everywhere.

And now we've got houseguests coming for a few days, so I won't get any time with it! Gaaah!

I was sad about no PS3 price cut. I've been keeping my ailing fatty on life support for the last six months.

It does kinda look like they may have shifted over to that "Medieval Adventures" thingie.

And these guys gave Infamous 1 a 6.9, too: http://www.ausgamers.com/ga...

Move support might help some, but placing stuff isn't all that hard anyway. This might actually be the first thing about Infamous 2 that I'm "meh" about.

Hero Edition arriving today. Can't wait!

It's impressive how flexible the tools are. I had an idea when I first heard about it,and in the beta I was able to implement nearly all of it. A few trickybits, but overall straightforward.

The beta is for the UGC, the user-created missions. That's not in the demo.
