Well I am not interested, much rather buy a "last-gen" console (The Wii U) than some cable box.
People thought the Wii U was bad, but this is even worse. I'd much rather have a "last-gen" console over the XOne any day.
If EA doesn't want to develop for the Wii U they should just take the ball and go home. Ninty fans won't really miss them to begin with.
Well even if it did, MS would still go for a proprietary hard drive that costs more/GB than it would buying any third party USB hard drive and shove it into your console. I'd much rather use a 4TB USB 3.0 My Book hard drive than buying an overpriced 500GB hard drive from MS (that probably costs as much as the WD hard drive would). Hopefully we'll be able to use the entire hard drive for this console and not some limited partition.
Still, MS should do what Sony did for...
Well if it is all in the cloud, then they are better off releasing a $49.99 thin client instead of a 400-600 dollar big box. That way they can also make our 360s compatible with Xbox One games.
Looks like Wii U and PS4 for me.
Actually PC is already 8.5th gen, and 9th gen next year.
I hope MS shows something I'll want to buy. I am excited for this.
What if they focused on core gaming and exclusives then you just made a fool of your comment.
Wii U is here to stay. Wait until a 3D Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Smash Bros, Metroid, or Pikmin 3 to release. More Nintendo fans will be ready to purchase their system. Until then, everyone that wanted New Super Mario Bros U already has it, thus there isn't much reason to purchase a Wii U if you already have not.
PS4 has been in development since the early PS3 era. This wasn't news, nor does it indicate an early dismissal of the Wii U. Companies plan ahead, spend years on research and prototyping ideas on products they will release even if decades later.
People complained about the lack of games on the Wii U, they still get mad because their Xbox or PS won't get the games. Just admit it gamers, you don't even want the Wii U to succeed.
The Wii U won't sell well without anything worthwhile. Much of the die hard Mario and Zelda fans are waiting for their games before dropping hundred dollar bills in front of the cashier for a Wii U. If this new Sonic game turns out well, it might move a few units for Sonic fans.
I'll place my doubts about that. The PS4 has Killzone and Infamous, two franchises with little impact on the industry. If anything, the next Xbox is a bigger threat to Nintendo than Sony.
The launch wasn't bad, it was the following months because it lacks post-launch titles worth buying apart from MH3. The first year for the Wii U has been lacking. If the Wii U had a better first year in terms of content, I (and many others) would've purchased one a long time ago.
No, I actually agree, and I am looking forward to neither Killzone or Infamous. Chances are slim of me getting a PS4 on day 1, and if so it is for Knack which is a new IP I am very well interested in. Believe me, I am sick of Sony's IPs getting put on such high pedestal myself. I have yet to play Killzone 3, Infamous 2, Starhawk, the new God of War, etc. Guess what, chances are I will not even bother. The fanboys trolling nearly every PC and Nintendo thread about these Sony games have lef...
I hope some the new exclusives are new IPs and not just Halo 5, Gears of War Retribution (or some other lame subtitle), Fable: whateversubtitleit'llbe, Forza #71 or Kinect 2 Sports.
No doubt these games will exist, and yeah they will be great quality titles, but I want more options than just these offerings.
Honestly speaking, I'll only believe that when I see it. Looking at the Vita things aren't too well with that system when you have an expensive price point, requirement of an expensive, sold-separately memory card for the game to even run, and apart from Gravity Rush and SS, the better games on it are mostly mediocre spinoffs of AAA franchises from B and C development studios. Sales are also doing far worse than the PSP ever did in the first fiscal years. Doesn't look like Sony re...
If this was for the 360 or PS3 I am sure your comment would've been different. Just look at your gamer tags section of your profile.
It's no wonder EA cancelled their online pass program...they found something better for them. I knew it, it is all too good to be true.
