Good luck but it'll be unlikely to compete well with Forza/GT, especially on first attempt. Look at how many CoD and Halo clones exist and most of them get thrown into the bargain bin within a few months or less, while CoD continues to sell by the millions.
@ethomaz: Well of course sales only matter with Sony. If it wasn't for sales then it's all about the "quality." It's just the way the wonderful world of gaming works. Gaming just isn't fair. Sony always wins no matter what!
*sigh* It's no wonder I bought an Xbox360.
As much as I'd love to play them on PC, there would be less reason for people to buy the One if they did port them. MS made a smart business decision.
It's just an annoyance, nothing more. The XOne is plagued by bigger issues than no BC. Xbox360 had poor BC and apart from a vocal minority, nobody really cared.
How I refused to buy a 360 despite less than half of my Xbox library is compatible. How I refused to buy my PS3 Slim despite none of my PS2 games are compatible. How I refused to buy a 3DS for not playing any GB/C/A games. How I refused to buy my first edition Vita for no UMD support (and I own no digital PSP titles). How I will refuse to buy a Wii U for no GC compatibility!
Most PS3 gamers (or gamers of any console for that matter) don't post on Twitter regarding video game news. We are the underground. 1 million is enough to get the message across, but the more the merrier.
MS could ditch DRM and people would still complain only because it's Xbox and MS which would be stupid. I bash the XOne because of its DRM but MS might fool me this E3, and hopefully so. I really want an XOne, but as long as it has the anti-used games and 24-hour DRM I will not buy one. If Sony follows suit, no PS4 for me either.
When was the last time 3DS has been ignored? If anything it is the Wii U that needs support. Perhaps you made a typo.
BTW I added some Wii games too. Just in case you have one laying around waiting to be used again.
Pretty much. I don't care how powerful a console is, if the games don't deliver I consider it a paperweight and a waste. It's better having a weak console with a nice selection of games vs. a hardware beast with nothing but Call of Duty, Battlefield and clones of both franchises.
Sorry but I much rather have a last gen console than a "next-gen" console full of DRM and anti-used game tactics. At least I can play Mario and Zelda, two of my all time favorite franchises without worrying about DRM. If Sony also follows through, then no PS4 for me either, and going to PC gaming for my next gen experience.

Still, it was a dick move on Sony's part, and since you said 1% of PS3 users are a fan of that feature, well newsflash for you the Other OS was intended for power users, programmers, etc. And since you implied minorities are unprotected, well the people bashing the XOne (myself included) and crying about consumer rights might be just a vocal minority and we matter to nobody.
Sony however could've easily rewarded free PS Store credit for upgrading to FW 3.12. Maybe the...
Well give me a Genuine Advantage™ to why I need my Kinect for my XOne to work then.
...why are you getting disagrees to a comment that is factual?
Not this guy, I'll leave camp Sony if they went stupid and pull this off, as well as changing my username on N4G.
Nintendo would be the only one left for me before I stop console gaming.
I will, and change my N4G username to reflect Nintendo or a third party game. Sony would be losing a lot of their loyal fans if they pull this off.
I am happy. Buying a PS4 and Wii U on the same day.
People will be throwing their entire console and games collection into the garbage after the companies cut support, resulting in rendering all consoles and games into paperweight. More environmental waste, just as needed.
