Could be PS4, but it could also be the XOne (that is if they ditch the DRM) or Wii U. My guess is good as everyone's. Nobody knows until we all see this console war in action.
Indies help made the Arcade into what it is today and the majority of my XBLA games I own are indies. You may say it doesn't need indies, but having them is better than without. Can't lie about that.
Well let's see, initially the PS4 but:
-If XOne is free of DRM then I'll get both
-If MS will continue to implement the DRM then PS4
-If PS4 and XOne both implement anti-used games technologies then neither
I don't think MS really has forgotten gamers as much as the internet thinks, they just didn't show much of the gaming capabilities and probably wanted to wait for E3. There will be games for the XOne, and they will be great games. The whole TV and sports thing are part of the ecosystem, and is used as a selling point over the competition, no different from BluRay movie playback being a selling point for the PS3. That being said, the used games and always on DRM really bothers me and a...
There will be games for the XOne, and they will be great games at that. If this console treats me (and other gamers) like hell when playing these great games you can consider that a lost sale.
I am not 100% writing the XOne off, but unless MS doesn't go through with their DRM, an XOne will never sneak right into my house.
Most likely no. If MS doesn't go through with their anti-used games and always on then I'll buy one mid gen. As it looks, MS will continue to test waters on how much gamers are willing to put up with a console bathed in DRM.
It's a shame when the 360 is actually a great console that is being succeeded by a suitcase full of baloney. The only smart thing MS can do now is to scrap the One and bring on the Xbox 4 instead.
Nah, I just bought a new 360 today (what a great system) and I now have a huge backlog of titles to play. MS has a lot to prove before an XOne even has a chance to sneak into my house.
Much better than Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Probably not as good as XBL or PSN but it's definitely a good leap.
Not this one, nor the raging Xbox fans for that matter. #dealwithit
Same here!
BTW Hyperdimension Neptunia all the way!
I knew it will be bad news the moment I saw this on the front page. :(
At least we are getting Xillia, to soften the blow.
Yeah it was a letdown. Buying a new 360 on my next paycheck for actual gaming. MS can keep their TV and sports, something I already have.
The hate on N4G isn't nearly as bad as the Xbox fan rage over at the official Xbox forums. People are avoiding this console like a dog with rabies.
People are avoiding it like a dog with rabies. Even the official Xbox community is bitter towards the XOne. It's one thing when fanboys bash XOne just because it isn't their system of choice, but when you also get die-hard Xbox fans doing the same, you know something really is a problem with the XOne.
Well it is supposedly positive XOne talk time:
This can definitely prolong the life of the system and virtually upgrades your hardware when combined to a server somewhere on the internet. It's a great concept and really hope MS does well executing it.
Right on, I definitely better not buy an XOne!
Wii love U PS4ever!
Yeah, not going to happen in my house. #dealwithit
Xbox go home.
It is good news. Kudos to Microsoft!
Too bad it doesn't fix the daily online connection DRM or the anti-used games technology. That makes playing these theoretical quality games much less enjoyable.
I don't want the XOne to fail, I just hope MS will revamp their business tactics and ditch their DRM. Without the DRM, the XOne can be a great next-gen system for gamers.
