If this thing succeeds with all the tropes, 10 years from launch when MS cuts support and renders every unit unusable we'll start seeing XOnes and XOne games in the garbage on the street waiting for the big truck to pick them up and bury them in the landfill.
It's E.T. 2600 all over again.
Hey I live in MI too. I was given three NES consoles for free from my relative (don't know why three) and over 20 games with them, and everything still works as if they're brand new. My SNES and my huge library also works, most saved games still work too. Now that's quality if I ever seen such a thing.
Never played SOCOM 2 or any other SOCOM. Looks like I missed out on a lot of fun.
That is because it's the only leg they have to stand on.
I have two 360's in my house and none of them were modded. The modders are about a 1% minority if not less. I also have around 20 games for the platform, all bought brand new, etc.
No XBL gold though.
Xbox is popular nowhere outside the US and some of Europe. MS might as well forget about Japan, even though they have much more reliable internet than we do.
It is really MS that is screwed.
It will sell in droves. We are just a vocal minority. We gamers that go on internet web forums bash the XOne quite a bit, but our opinions don't matter to the general gaming community. If MS doesn't collect our money, but millions of dollars from every other person buying the One, they won't miss our money because we are just a small percentage.
Doesn't have to be 1st place but it needs to bring in money to Ninty. This gen all three consoles are successful because they have become profitable.
Well technically there will be DRM, like the one similar to the PS3/Vita at least, but hopefully nothing intrusive like the XOne. The PS3's DRM wasn't visible unless you actually attempt to copy/pirate the games, and it did the copy-protection application much better than the DRM schemes that scream in your face by simply playing your game, aka UbiDRM, Spore, Diablo III, and next up the XOne.
Although the Vita has a DRM scheme that requires an internet-connected PC to...
Nintendo didn't have a bad launch, it was good actually. It's the post-launch lineup that is lackluster at the moment.
But yeah the PS4 is looking to have a much more compelling launch lineup. The content might go through a dry spell post-launch like the PSV and Wii U is currently going through but hopefully nothing as bad.
I won't get Xboned lawl. Sticking to my good old XB360 while I play on PS3, PS4 and Wii U.
Nah, people will forget about it in a few months with the exception of including it in lists of PS3 exclusives in Xbox360 articles.
Wow at first I thought it was Uncharted 2, now it's The Last of Us, a game you never played...
For me they have, but the masses will buy this in droves despite the rage on the internet. Look at all the ranging from the past over L4D, CoD MW2 and XBL $60 price, apparently it changed nothing.
I am definitely no fan of the XOne but I wouldn't go as far as saying people are morons for buying a piece of CE you simply don't like. If people don't mind the DRM and anti-used games technology, that is their opinion and they are entitled to buy whatever they want. After all neither your or their opinions are wrong. This comment is nothing short of trolling.
I am sick of this game already, and I haven't even played it. "TRUE gamers" as you put it are more like a .002% cult of nerds.
This is great news. I would buy this game if I get an XOne. I can't wait to see what other goodies MS has in store this E3.
Unless Nintendo is out of the hardware business that will not happen (officially). I doubt they'll bother with a PS Mobile kind of thing when their 3DS is selling like hot cookies.
I voted both for funny. Hope you get two more bubbles.
They'll just say "Well I have nothing to hide so what's the problem?" there really isn't a thing you can do with these kind of people. We're living in the golden age of apathy and gamers are simply apathetic of the fact video games are changing for the worse. Unfortunately these apathetic gamers make up the majority. Majority rules, things change and evolve around majority and majority simply don't care.
