Well then I agree with some of your points, the Wii U is extremely lackluster post-launch at the moment.
Uhh I can't play Nintendo exclusive games on 360 or PS3, and PC emulators are poorly optimized. You're being shallow and naive if you only use hardware tech to judge against the Wii U. I own both a Vita and a 3DS and despite the Vita's MUCH more powerful hardware, I mostly use my 3DS.
Maybe you don't mind passing up some great games just because they don't look as pretty as Uncharted 2, or maybe you simply don't like Nintendo games.
It could win. It might not. Nobody knows until we actually see the console war in action. What I remembered though was the online rage over DLC, online passes, season passes, Diablo III, MW2, L4D2, XBL $60 price, etc. and nothing was changed. The same could be said for the XOne. The majority are usually a silent bunch of people last I checked.
If this thing despite all the baggage plaguing the it succeeds though, gaming will once again change for the worse.
The UK is very much like the US: Xbox territory. I will safely assume the XOne will be a smashing success here in the US as well, like the 360 was. Worldwide the PS4 will likely dominate.
Maybe the tables could turn for US and UK though, my guess is as good as anyone's.
What I tried...
Doesn't look like I can. I don't have any MS points to redeem but then again I have Silver. Wonder if it's only working for Gold?
Silver users apparently can download this. XBL Gold has nothing to do with this. It looks like an error on MS' part and nothing deliberate.
Dang I missed it. Now it says 19.99.

This is one of my most anticipated games in a long time. This and Knack are going to be my early PS4 titles.
Good reason to upgrade my ambassador 3DS.
There is two other consoles. No way one console could kill GameFly unless third parties are given the abilities to employ similar schemes against game ownership and consumer control on Sony and Nintendo consoles.
This console is defeating the purpose of a console: plug and play, and convenience. PC gaming is way more plug and play and convenient than this XOne on paper.
I really hope the people that do plan on buying the XOne really enjoys their system and games, but I fear video games in its entire will be changing for the worse, again.
Well to be honest Sony has done the same with MS. Their trophy system is their Achievements system. Not to say it's a bad thing because Trophies are by far superior to Achievements. The entire PSN is also hugely influenced by XBL. Without XBL Sony wouldn't have been so aggressive with implementing online play features.
Companies copy all the time. Even Innovative Nintendo is guilty of the same thing (Wii U pro controller for example).
I am no fanboy of either Intel or AMD. If AMD is better suited for PC gaming this time around I'll go with them. If I had a choice I would go with Intel, but I'll be happy to adapt to AMD for gaming.
As long as ISPs are so greedy like they are nowadays, and as long as suitable connections are only available in semi-large cities and huge metropolis communities, the cloud will not become mainstream apart from Facebook-type games.
Give it about two decades.
At least we can still play the Virtual Boy to this very day. Not like I'd want to.
My Android device didn't...why would this?
Something those two systems needed!
It will for sure when the games industry entirely has used games under control and eliminated. Video games would become monopolized and anti-competitive.
I wouldn't be surprised if publishers start charging $100 per game in the future.
