So far I've played World of Tanks, Moon Breakers and Tribes Ascend and they all wind up the same or me: fun at first then become a grindfest of bore. Moon Breakers was the most invested one of the three where I actually bought one of the packages with real money. Yeah, I easily ruled the servers with my upgraded planes. I'm a big fan of space games so I'll always play it now and then.

Another thing that those three games have in common : whenever I played them ...

I still can play my old PC games with my current decent PC, even those from the 90s. PS3 owners have to buy HD remakes of their PS1 and PS2 classics - which are just a selection of the older PS games, not all.

There's a reason a lot of game developers are releasing their online/free to play games in China while MS have been very busy trying to penetrate the Japanese market with its X Box.

Ignoring the PC while going head-to-head with another industry giant (Sony) in very long, drawn out console war is not the best of ideas. Tunnel vision is good in some cases but there will always some innovations that will derail all of your plans. Mobile devices, online distribution, free-to-...

Sony is also said to be the maker of 1080p television right now but most of its PS3 games don't even go there.

And yet Apple is the one who released a display that goes beyond 1080p for its devices.

Two religious books got thousands of men into the mood to kill each other for centuries.

A soccer match got a South American general into the mood of war when his country lost.

A single book made the Germans get in the mood to invade Europe in the 1940s.

Games got millions of gamers into the mood to kill each others...online. So, CNN is partly right.

I bought the game in June when it was on sale at GamersGate. The most fun I had with an open world game. I love how Palau is portrayed : a melting pot of South East Asian countries and culture all in one convenient place (the desert-themed island filled with Indians is the only thing that somehow felt out of place). It borders on OCD as I hunt down every military installation dotted around Palau.

I've tried the multiplayer beta mod and it was like watching kids running ar...

Will a humble explosive-tipped arrow be it's downfall too?

MP3 did what MP1 and 2 did to me years ago : I kept replaying it again and again. Currently replaying it again in classic mode without the last stand perk.

Really though, hated the camera flashing effect.

Geez..now I feel down after realizing I'm going to die when my life ends. What a nice article to read after a nice nap.

But he's right about the community deal. Some of the games offered are either I've already bought but I'm really interested in but voted them anyway so I could contribute to the community by getting the best deals for others.

The trailer is the most the exciting thing to see in BF3...until I saw the helos.

I have "paused" playing BF3 for a month, maybe two now. One reason is other games taking up my time. One major reason is the total uselessness of tanks in BF3. It's really annoying having helos able to kill your tanks while hovering from very far away and at an obscene height.

Jets....just fly in a very slooow ground strafe and kill your tanks in one pass.

I guess there's your valid reason for the Skyrim fans calling for fixing the 2GB RAM limit when it first came out. 64 bit is inevitable.

I've seen a lot of flight sim players use Win 7 64 bit long before BF3 made it cool. And Arma 3 demands that you have 64bit for it.

FTP again...it's a new name for always-online DRM. This time Ubisoft can do it without fear (they tried to do it with Ghost Recon Online but failed) since everybody else is doing it for their upcoming games.

A couple of months ago I saw a video of the CD Projekt team saying thanks to gamers who bought their game. It was great since it felt personal.

This CEO's article feels like he's giving a speech to some board member s and investors what Blizzard is planning to do next.

Unless you have been a fan of a franchise that span decades only to have the latest ones to be online only or f2p only games. I'm a big fan of the Mech Warrior, Age of Empires, Diablo, and STALKER series so I was devastated when all of them are announced to be online or f2p.

Just like you said, if I don't like it I can leave them...I don't like f2p so I won't play them but I'll loose all those said game that I've grown up with.

I'v...

I'm happy that CDP have been doing so well and became the shining example what the PC can offer. Unfortunately I'm also worried with the direction the rest of the PC developers are going. They are fast turning the PC into a console-like monstrosity.

We may smirked at the questionable DLCs and online passes that are rampant in consoles but the PC is starting to churn out more and more games with the F2P model. From my point of view its the opposite of what CDP is prea...

No need for the negative press. The moment they announced it will only playable when you are constantly online, I simply walked away.

I already knew it will have multiple paths since they told everyone about this when promoting the game before launching the PC version. Of course, the Premium Edition that I bought came with a walkthrough book from the developer themselves so that did help a bit. No need to wait for some after market guide book or fan-made walkthrough online.

Same here. Last March I had a whole week of holiday and I was so hype about ranking up in BF3. Instead I spent more time watching Youtube and reading gaming sites that whole week. Looking back I realized that happened almost in all recent holidays.

Only in the last couple of months I've been rather serious in completing my games. Not really sure why. Now that Steam Summer Sale is on, I'm looking at some of the newly added games and thought how the hell am I going to f...

Why are we reading this shit again? Why is there an author writing this same shit again? Did CERN blew up some God particle and sent us all back 5-6 years back in time?

5. Trade in Market? It's the very thing that console publishers, Sony and MS, are trying to kill with next gen and online passes. And those two are very busy getting cloud gaming into their gaming online services.

4. Exclusive content...he's using a Patch/an update to show that console...
