Most of the games I care about are multiplatform games. Exclusives make up a small percent of the games I really love.
Most of the games I am looking forward to are multiplatform games: Deus Ex Human Revolution, Rage, Dead Space 2, Crysis 2, Enslaved, to name a few.
Having a console that performs well with these kinds of games is really valuable to me.
I own all three and I play the 360 the most, the PS3 the next most and the Wii the least.

I own both an Xbox 360 and a PS3. Out of the two I prefer the 360 and I couldn't care less what the PS3 fanboy hordes on N4G say.
I don't shove my preference down anybody's throat and I am sick and damn tired of the PS3 fanboys shoving their preferences down everybody's throats.
Gears 2 looked better than Uncharted 1 and Gears 3 looks better than Uncharted 2.
There have been major improvements to Gears of War 3. For example, the lighting engine has been totally revamped and looks incredible now.
Unreal 3 engine is indeed constantly improving. Besides, it already powers some of the better looking games of the generation. To act like it somehow isn't up to snuff is beyond ignorant.
Blah, blah, blah.. uh huh, sure. Most ps3 exclusives look ordinary and some look downright bad, like Warhawk and Twisted Metal. Only a couple ps3 exclusives look really good and even those are somewhat overrated.
Gears 3, Crysis 2 and Rage all look better than any PS3 exclusive.

I agree, Black Ops isn't up there, but Rage most certainly is. It looks at least as good as Uncharted 2, but is 60 fps instead of only 30 fps.
More like Sony is in last place and will in all likelihood remain there for the rest of the generation.
I am totally satisfied with my 360. I have a ps3 too, but I would choose my 360 over my ps3 if I had to make a choice.
That's your opinion. I don't agree. I think the 360 has the best games. I only love a few games on the PS3, namely Uncharted, Uncharted 2 and God of War 3. Killzone 2 is also pretty good. But other than that, there just isn't anything that great for me.
I couldn't care less about some of the second rate crap that is put out on the PS3. And even some of the stuff that isn't second rate crap, like LittleBigPlanet, just doesn't appeal to me. I trie...
It's not a cheaply made console. There was a flaw in the design of early 360s that was causing many of them to fail, but the problem has since been remedied. My 360 has been running strong for 4 years.
Last generation my Xbox never failed on me and in fact still works to this day. Can't say the same for my PS2 that died on me.
The gap between the 360 and ps3 has widened and shrunk several times this generation.
The 360 currently has around a 5 million lead and is now widening the gap.

Why stop your analysis at 3.5 years? Oh I know, because that was when things were at their most favorable for the PS3.
Why not look at the fact that the 360 is something like 5 million consoles ahead and is now widening the gap?
And all that considering the fact that last generation the Playstation 2 had like 3 times the market share as the Xbox.
You guys are so funny. If you haven't had a reason to turn on your 360 then you are nothing but fanboys. There have been tons of great games to play on the 360.
I myself play my 360 more than my PS3, but I'm not a big enough fanboy to say I haven't turned on my PS3. I played God of War 3 this year on my PS3 and it was great. That said, I played Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell Conviction and Red Dead Redemption on my 360.
I've noticed a very peculiar behavior of some fanboys. The times the PS3 started to close the gap they act like it is permanent momentum, but when the 360 widens the gap they act like it is just a very temporary thing.
This whole generation there have been times the 360 widened the gap and there have been times the PS3 narrowed the gap. It just goes back and forth depending on price cuts, new hardware revisions, big games and other things that happen with each console. ...
No, FFXIII looked slightly better on the PS3 (mainly in the cinematics) because Square still has feelings of loyalty to Sony and because it was already made on the PS3 and they didn't try to give the 360 platform the best they could.
MysticStrummer, what more do you want? Rage is the best looking game on consoles and is a multiplatform game. That is an amazing accomplishment.
This idea some of you seem to have that exclusives will always necessarily look better than multiplatform games is just incorrect.
Some multiplatform games like Assassin's Creed, Dead Space, Red Dead Redemption, Crysis 2 and especially Rage I would put up against any exclusive in the same genre.
The problem with that theory is that last generation even though many games had the PS2 as their lead development platform the Xbox versions still ended up looking much better.
Also, this generation games that have lead on the PS3, such as Dead Space, often end up running better on the 360.
The actual way things work is that developers basically try to make the game look as best they can on each platform.
You think Sony personally cares about you either? You're a fool if you do. They care about your money, because that is what all companies are in business for.
I continue to get great games on my 360. In fact this year there were far more games I bought for my 360 than my PS3. I bought God of War 3 and that is all I will probably get for my PS3 all year. On the other hand I bought Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, and I will be getting Halo Reach and Fable 3. Early next year...

That is completely a matter of opinion. The Wii is certainly just as reliable if not more so. The new Xbox 360 S is also likely just as reliable.
The games debate is a matter of taste or opinion. I can show you where there are more Xbox 360 games rated 80 or above on metacritic than there are for the PS3. See, that is something factual you can point to.
More like: Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft innovate some things and also borrow and improve upon other things. All three companies have borrowed some ideas and have also innovated in some ways. That is a fact.
