I liked Far Cry 2. It wasn't perfect, but once you found its rhythm it was a lot of fun.

Bullcrap. Mass Effect 2 feels like more of an RPG than FFXIII by far. It's an RPG because it has all the fundamentals of what RPGs have always been about. I don't care that the action is real-time. In fact, I love the fact that the action is real-time and enjoyable. That doesn't make it any less of an RPG.
First of all, some people are making a big deal about nothing. All this Bioware person talked about was what they feel makes a good RPG.
Second, look at the scores of Mass Effect 2 and Final Fantasy XII, I'd say most people agree that Bioware have a greater vision for what makes a good game. They are just expressing what that vision is.
ME2 was far more enjoyable to me than FFXIII. I don't care what your personal definition of an RPG is, ME2 is a tremendous game and certainly fulfills my craving for an RPG experience.
This looks insane. I can't wait to return to the world of Gears of War. I loved the first two.
Why? For an open world game GTA4 looked pretty damn good. It looked better than other open world games like Infamous.
I'll bet you anything GT5 will not win GOTY. The fifth iteration of any game is not going to win GOTY unless it introduces significant innovation over its predecessors. I have seen very little innovation in GT5.
Hang your hopes on God of War 3 or LBP2. Those games have a much better chance than GT5.
Uncharted 2 was good. Personally I would have to say Mass Effect 2 is my favorite game this generation overall.

Sure, fanboy. In my opinion Uncharted 2 looks better than God of War 3 for the most part and Alan Wake looks a bit better than Uncharted 2.
Hardly anybody said Metro 2033 was going to be an "amazing" game. People just said that it looked amazing and might turn out to be pretty decent, both of which are true.
Alan Wake does look like an amazing game to me. Its graphics are amazing, that's for sure.

Judging by screenshots and video that I have seen Alan Wake looks better. They have very different graphical styles, but I think Alan Wake looks more realistic and detailed.

This routine is getting old. Whenever a multiplat looks better on the 360 certain fanboys try to convince themselves that the differences are "almost nothing", but then these same fanboys turn around and try to claim that there is a huge difference between PS3 exclusives and 360 exclusives. Absurd!
