Anybody that claims that Microsoft is desperate and that Sony isn't is living in a fantasy world. If anyone's desperate, it's Sony. Let's look at the facts:

How in the world would they feel like the price has increased? The Elite goes for $399.99 right now and the Pro goes for $299.99. No matter how you look at it people are going to know that they are getting a better deal. Even if the speculation is correct and the $250 Pro goes away, people aren't going to be oblivious to the fact that they will then be able to get an Elite for the same price as the Pro was going for.
The 360 version has anti-aliasing, the PS3 version doesn't. The 360 version also has less screen tearing than the PS3 version. Texture clarity and overall sharpness are also better on the 360 version.
As you pointed out, IGN and Digital Foundry found the same things that I am mentioning.

Nah, PS3 gamers have just had to put up with a different bunch of bullsh*t. Unfortunately they just aren't honest enough to admit it. No console is perfect. My PS2 died on me last generation and I had to buy a new console, but that's life. The 360's positives FAR outweigh the negatives.
NewZealander, great comment! I agree completely. Such a survey can never be reliable. That's like looking at user reviews on Metacritic and expecting to get an honest assessment of a game. It isn't going to happen. As we have seen, fanboys are all too happy and willing to mark down an exclusive from the opposing console in hopes of making it look bad. What makes anybody think they wouldn't do something similar in a survey?

Shadow Complex is every bit as good as the reviews suggest. It is actually one of my favorite games now. Right up there with full retail releases. It's that good.
If I boycotted every game whose creators' political viewpoints were different than mine I would have missed out on a great number of games.
For example, I don't agree with some of the political viewpoints expressed by Ken Levine, creator of Bioshock, and I don't even agree with some of the subtle political messages found in the game itself, but if that would have stopped me I would have missed out on one of my favorite games this generation.

You know, I was actually thinking about getting a PS3 but after seeing the way most Ps3 fanboys act on a lot of sites, it has really just turned me off from the whole thing.

Sure, I agree with that. But I don't think it is unreasonable to come to conclusions about what you think it is likely to do. I think it is unlikely the PS3 will catch up to the 360 before the start of the next generation. I do think it has a good chance of narrowing the gap to some degree. All consoles are doing well in any case, so I don't think anybody should fret.

With Sony's massive domination the past two generations the 360 shouldn't be ahead at all, right? It all comes down to how you want to look at it. No way. It isn't going to happen. Microsoft isn't going to just sit still, the 360 is going to continue to sell well and even though Ps3 sales will surely pick up it isn't going to be enough to catch up to the 360. Even if the Ps3 starts outselling the 360 by a hundred or two hundred thousand units each month it will still take years for it to even catch up, let alone surpass the 360.

BS. This PS3 price cut is a direct counter to the price cut Microsoft gave the 360 last fall, since the PS3 was falling further behind. Sony has been following this whole generation. Hell, they basically copied everything Microsoft did with Xbox LIVE.
