Skyward will win the wii fans, but it won't beat out Skyrim for game of the year.
and the modding begins.....
Actually the companions are a huge step up from what we've seen in the past. Better a.i., always seem to find you, and they don't die as easy.
The "master race" is more talk and figments of peoples imagination than anything else.
I have a aging and supposedly close to extinction ati 5770 graphics card. I remember folks were telling me Battlefield 3 was going to kill this card and I'd get low settings.... not the case because I get between high and ultra (leaning more towards ultra). And, A few weeks ago someone on this site argued my card could not handle high settings for Skyrim... Nope it gets near ...
I actually think they could have done more with the pc graphics. If you want good graphics Witcher 2 still sets the bar.
Bethesda is more known for their scripting, and that is where this game shines.
360 has better shadow effects.
The graphics do look identical.
I'm not sure if I want to be the one that says Witcher 2 has Skyrim's graphics beat because Skyrim has the fun factor that will cause me to get some dissagree's. But... Witcher 2 has better graphics.
yes it does
"attlefield 3 has managed 3.5 million at retail, with a further 500k estimated for digital PC sales meaning it could pass 4 million in its first week"
I always thought of the xbox 360 as a pc gaming device that could be hooked up to a tv. Sure there are a few 360 exclusive games and the ability to stream media such as netflix as well. But overall, the games released on the xbox felt and were pc games, i.e. wrpg's / shooters.
I think alot of people enjoy the ease of being able to play games without upgrading of worrying about ever buying a gpu. A lot of anti pc gamers simply never even attempt to buy a graphics card at a...
wow, this is article that plays on gamers emotions. Of course $2,000,000 wasn't lost to pirates.
I blame the lack of innovation to keep with current times (i.e. the digital age) as the flame to piracy. How does piracy of movies get reduced? By innovations such as netflix that makes streaming movies just as convenient as downloading them off torrent or illegal streaming sites.
I think steam has really put a dent in piracy for gaming, however I think the pr...
I googled as well you are right there is a very slight edge, but not a huge one. I'm not sure if it can get the recommended specs or not, but I think it can do quite well. Witcher 2 also played well with the 5770, a game that is heavy in using processor and memory.
Still these games use much less of the gpu compared to battlefield 3 that makes my pc get low settings.
This game is more processor and memory and less graphics card.
Well at least this means I can continue to put off upgrading my hd 5770, this card might very well last until the ps4 and 720 are released (minus the occasional Battlefield 3 type games).
@ dissagrees. Did I miss something, does a ati hd 5770 graphics card with a AMD quad core processor 3.0g and 4gb of memory not allow me to play this game on Ultra?
You have to own a pc to compare to witcher 2. Most people on this site own a ps3 only and that is why you get all the Uncharted/Killzone comparisons.
I don't understand why it is such a big deal for some people to see what graphics are becoming capable of.
One sensitive issue is BF3 and how awesome the pc graphics are. It is not like pc gamers are saying consoles suck or that owners of consoles are inferior in any way. All they are saying is... Damn look at those graphics!
In general; Don't ask gamers that own something you don't not to comment on a comparison that includes something they own. ...
IGN is the top reviewer, like it or not people look towards their review. Why? because more times then not the reviews are accurate.
When it comes to multiple consoles things can get heated, and people get pissed when an edge is given to the competition. I'm sure ign has miss-fired on a review during their long history of reviewing and I'm sure that might have stuck in someones mind.
But let's face it, we all know ign is about as legit as it can g...
I'm hoping that they are in the cheap to free category. I do like that they are at least making some changes from FF13. For example, The Historia Crux System has me interested.
But... we will see how this game ends up, SE has been disappointing this generation and I can only hope they get back on track with the FF series.
I have the exact same, only on my pc so it will be a hard choice between pc and ps3 version for me.
The only difference I'm seeing is that they have different gamma adjustments. So really they are identical.
I still have a lot of hope for FFvs13, but I worry that this generation of "dumbing down" will rub off onto SE and pressure them to appease the FPS crowd with easier more action orientated rpg's. But yes, maybe it is this generation of gaming I'm most upset with not SE, afterall we now have to deal with a fps version of x com.
Glad you are enjoying the game.
But I don't think you are understanding modding, if it somehow does happen on the PS3 it will be so watered down and really miss the point of what p.c.'s can do that consoles can't, period.
I know the game still rocks on a ps3, but modding isn't for consoles, let it go.
