I remember growing up during the SNES era, my parents loved Atari games but they just didn't get the new era of gaming and claimed ATARI games were better. I knew then it was because they were getting out of touch and that the snes games were really just too hard for them to play. I swore then I wouldn't end up like that for my kids.
"The post PC-era is upon us."
That's the Same old cr@p they always say.
In theory, OnLive is one of the greatest inventions to ever happen to gaming. In reality. OnLive just doesn't compare to owning a pc and owning games.
I skipped patch 1.2 for this very reason. The good news is they will have this issue fixed very soon.
well to be fair ME3 will have even more of a EA influence, in it that they are wanting to figure out how to make as much money as possible.
What is interesting is that off the bat 3 different gamers are targeted. You can choose Action Mode, Story Mode, and RPG Mode. To be honest, this shows that Bioware and EA are struggling to find an identity together. EA doesn't want straight up rpg's anymore like we got from KOTOR and feels that they need to interfere in Bioware...
First off, thanks for a good reply. But I disagree.
Comparing the cell processor with a quad core is a little more complicated then that (also note that there is nothing like the cell on a pc for various reasons unrelated to gaming). The quad can handle multiple processes better, but the cell can handle linear processes better. The end result; the cell can run games just as well, but it is a lot harder to code for. On the PS3 the GPU and memory is what hold it back.

This is a silly article. South Park RPG is being made by a company that proved they can make good rpg's and it is doomed to fail?
Usually I hate spin off games, but this one sounds interesting. It sounds like a project that Matt and Trey wanted to do, as opposed to a company trying to capitalize off the success of South Park.
Obsidian is a fine developer.. Fallout: New Vegas is a very good rpg. It gets hated on, even though people continue to play it and continue to enjoy it over other rpg's.
Lessons in homosexuality form a guy with a girl avatar.
Are you sure? I thought it was more based on the low factor form, low power usage gpu's such as the ati hd 5570.
In a snails race the Wii U will be more powerful.
@adamant715
The amount of ram ignores the 64bit revolution.
768mb will give about the same gaming performance as a 2Gb 32bit computer. That is giving that a little over 1 gb of ram is needed for other pc functions.
As of now most pc games prefer 4Gb of ram (on a 64bit OS) and that gives the wii u a 2Gb disadvantage.
Companies need to stop ignoring the 64 bit revolution, it is becoming more and more the present.
The wii u will only be slightly better then current then current gen consoles...
Lets compare
quad core @ 3GHz, it is a fine possessor but not a huge leap over Sony's Cell processor (Sony might still have the lead), The 360 has a tri-core clocked at 3.2 GHz. So it has a higher overall speed, most analysts also believe 3 cores are as much as you need in gaming. These figures are well in line with average gaming pc's cpu.
Memory, for simplicity ...
exclusivity has been dying off for some time now. Sony holds a few still, but the trend says it wont last. Insomniac is developing for the 360, the souls games are no longer exclusive, and even Metal Gear is going multi platform. We all no what happened to 360 exclusives.
The best games this generation are multi platform games or eventually went multi platform.

2 out of 5 gamers are females; but 80% of females gamers own a wii
41% of Men own a wii; 59% prefer those real game consoles that have real games like Skyrim.

I'm just trying to make sense of the issue at hand. So far the PS3 is the version that everyone is complaining about by far the most.
I'm getting a lot of dissagree's so I guess I'm wrong (since knowledge is democracy?), but at least I'm trying to figure out why the ps3 has the worst version of this game.
Creation Kit — Beginning in January, PC players will be able to download the same development tools we used at Bethesda Game Studios to create Skyrim. In tandem with the Creation Kit’s release, we will roll out a new Wiki and videos to help you get started. It also features something we think you’re going to love…
Wow, I can't wait for this one to hit the mod community.
Man it must really suck for you to have to miss out on every Bethesda game this generation.
The Fallout and TES games are one of the bright spots this generation.
@xPhearR3dx
You are correct, but let's not forget that only half the ram is dedicated to the cpu. The other half is part of the gpu. So the GPU can run at the the full ram, but cpu can not. There are a few games that really depend on the cpu and need higher memory dedicated to it.
I really hope the next generation goes higher then the mere 512ram.
video games are one of absentee parents favorite scape goats.
