Dice nailed it as far a pc being the lead.
I have seen some console footage, of course console owners need to have footage in order to know if the game is going to be good..... But Dice is not in the wrong to showcase their lead platform more, after all this is going to be one of the best looking pc games of all time. A lot of PC footage. Damn straight!

1. Grinding leads to lvling up which leads to more tactics in character builds which leads to a jrpg with more of a playing strategy then strictly the battle sequence.
2. Of FF13. The battle system is automated, sure there is strategy but use of magic and new skills are so less fulfilling when all you really select is the actual job class.
3. Of FF13's story. I actually agree, though the story could have been told in a more engagi...
Nice, I only wish it was also coming to the PS3 along with all psp / vita games. But that is probably just me. I'm just not a big hand held guy.
idk. 3d is a very specific and particular design and in the end it just adds 3d.
Is it really worth replacing your living room tv with a tv that requires glasses to watch and has a format that isn't quite mainstream. With this the question is will 3D really even catch on or will it only be a fad like the 1980's 3D fad?
Are people really this obsessed with the fps genre this generation.
It is like you can't even continue a game in it's original genre because the only thing people know how to play anymore are things in the first person perspective.
I'm disappointed that this generation of gaming had to be dumb down for new gamers that think every game should be call of duty.
the fps trend needs to die already.
the lighting and game play effects were huge on pc. It is hard to judge which looks better on a still screen image.
@below
totally agree. One lousy image really doesn't even begin to compare. I know people are excited about getting Crysis on consoles, but you also have to realize what the game is capable of on a pc to really appreciate it. That image doesn't even begin to showcase why the pc version of Crysis was a graphical masterpiece for its time.
Of course I hope the bugs get fixed.
But I have to also agree with the article. It is like a small studio vs. large studio debate; This generation I think some of the larger studio's i.e. activision have been more worried about how to make money (call of duty, Guitar Hero....) At the same time they lose what these smaller studios still have, how to make a fun game.
Of course the smaller studio's will never be as polished, but at least they won't...
Got to love the small developers having success.
Feminist whore zombies would have made this game even more scary
Those Japanese developers still think that all game sales in Japan come from the PS3 and all games sales out of Japan come from the 360. They also think that 360 owners interest in jrpg's reflect all of westerners interest in jrpg's. They fail to see how much money they could make on ps3 jrpg's outside of Japan as they don't realize that ps3 owners actually like those games. It's a disconnect they have.
"pass included no extra fee."
Except for the extra fee's that are stated in the article.
Dante,
yes, I was encouraging reading the article without spelling it out but I guess I have too. I was getting at the hidden fee you just mentioned. "the second account needs to purchase it’s very own online pass. Wait… what?"
btw, how is it trolling something that is clearly in the debate section. This isn't even a pro pass ar...
I wounder if SE will ever understand why their jrpg's are struggling this generation.....
Will they admit they are making bad business decisions, or are they going to continue to think they can dictate the market?
and then there are those of us that want a good turn based strategy game who don't even like the fps genre.
Everything has to be a fps this generation, I just want a game that has classic game play such as the original x-com.
I do own windows 7; But M$ won't support it for gaming the same way they support the 360. It is just kind of backwards there is no dlc for the pc as well.
Still waiting for a western release. Still disappointing that they decided not to release TOV outside of Japan for the PS3.
The cell has a bright future in gaming, get used to it or retire.
I know SE is unpopular these days, and rightfully so...
But, I'm actually liking what I'm hearing.
1.The player actively explores the world, and events take place based on his actions. It’s made to allow a lot of choices to be made by the player.
This adds much more dynamics to actually playing the game. In FF13 you feel almost no interaction with the actual world. Lets get real as well, This factor alone doesn't kill the jrpg feel.
then they wouldn't have been caught.
I think the developers want to showcase the pc version more just because of the sheer amount of work that was put into the graphics. I'm not sure if everyone is really appreciating just how good these graphics are in comparison to games on the market today. The console graphics are there, but they still face the ceiling of the consoles hardware and will be comparable to all games on the market. This isn't a bad thing, but why not market the version that has some of the best graphics e...
