I do agree that gt3 sold well but that 15 mil is lifetime sales to date and it was bundled with the ps2 for a long time as well. Halo 3 still has another 7 years or so to reach 15 mil so that is feasable.
You want a game full of emotions? Try playing Lost Odyssey. Some of those dream scenes were well . . . tear jerkers. Plus the climatic end as well. A few drops came out during then, heh who am I kidding, I bawled like a baby with that game. Very well written.
You are insane to think that the graphics card in the ps3 "rsx" is a better than the "Xenos" in the X360. The Xenos runs
1. Unified Shaders
2. 10mb Embedded EDRAM
3. Hybrid DX10
rsx is pretty much a stripped down version of a 7800gtx w/256mb vram
1. NO unified shaders
2. LOW memory bandwith
3. Still uses DX9
Talk about last gen!
Now the cpu.
Xenos - 3 symm...
I really don't think blu is the future. I think blu-ray is there just to wet our appetite until the next BIG thing is out. That would be HVD. Holographic Versatile Disc.

Now everyone is onboard including sony and GE is one of the founders so Intel and Toshiba and MS would be onboard as well and all of the movie studios. Imagine up to 6 TB! That is ...
I do agree with peacock1 in that MS needs more 1st party titles. The list you had was mostly correct. I do know that MS does own a piece of Gears of War so that going on another platform is as unlikely as gow coming to X360. Now also remember that sony does not own the studio behind Heavenly Sword and that they went to MS FIRST and MS shot them down! Personally I was a big fan of Kung Fu Chaos. Naughty Dog and a plethora of other ps3 titles are owned by their respective devlopment studio...
Oh and my launch date X360, it's not that I am afraid of it breaking, I wanted a newer X360 with HDMI, that is pretty much about it.
I have owned over 44 ps2's, mostly of them in trade for tech work I have done and over 60 percent broke! Not all were the same problem but majority were disc drive related. The ps2 had the CRAPPIEST disc drive as 99 percent of the dvd playback went out in matter of weeks. A lot of them couldn't read blue-backed discs and some couldn't read silver-backed discs. Complete garbage. Probably is the reason why I have a certain distaste for sony. Still have my launch date X360. Don't play it ...
Just because they are putting it on a disc does not mean it is for ps3 or pc for that fact. Maybe it is just because they think they can, (MS), by putting it on a disc and charging like 60 bucks for the game and both dlc. It is to encourage new customers and customers without XBL. Although I could see it coming to pc to help increase "Games for Windows" popularity and/or sales.
If Joker is not ever coming to X360 or PC (which PC users will just mod the game anyway)...
I agree. Unlike ExxonMobil where they make way more money than anyone at the present time, MS is consistent. Even in the worse economic times they are STILL opening their MS Stores. They are still spending money. There are better business people and investors in MS than the other guys. They won't let MS fail because they have billions in their stock and noone wants to lose that much money.
I have Kotor 2 on 4 cd and I have it running on Vista x64 Home Premium. Try installing the latest patches.
I really love Vista. It works great! Vista Ultimate x64. If you have the hardware, Vista is awesome. Some people just needs to upgrade their hardware and not have everything under the sun running, esp. on startup. It's really their own faults. Besides 64-bit Vista is more powerful for games than even XP or 7. Far Cry 2 benchmarks proved higher in 64-bit Vista. google should be careful to step on too many toes. They are going to be too dispersed and their main component, search engine...
I really do think that ths is exclusive. I remember that they were saying the reason for the exclusitivity was that the pc and X360 architecture are similar and you have natural 3-4 cores which result in better ai performance where the ps3 has a bunch of spe's but still only a SINGLE CORE cpu and the ai doesn't work well with that type of processor. Now for video streaming it is king but then you can't be good at everything.
So true. Though the X360 uses hybrid dx10 support anyways. Unified shaders, etc. I just recently bought the gtx275 and I must say that I do enjoy that it is using the 55nm and runs cooler than my 9800gtx. Plus it uses 2x 6-pin pci/e adapters instead of 1x 6 and 1x 8. The downside is that it uses 448 bit memory and has 896mb ddr3 ram. Funny my Windows direct x diagnostic tool states that my card has 366mb of ram total when the card has stock 896. I would have worried a bit but other pro...
All I know is that my friend had a ps3 and played ff11 on it a lot and he was stuck with a 345 dollar power bill. He runs a pump (lives out in the country) and heaters and baseboard heat and cook and all that comes to 135 dollars in the winter without the ps3. He will never buy another ps3 again due to that. He thinks it's a great machine but the amount of power he pays, he can buy an X360 system with at least 2 games every month just alone for the power consumption of the ps3 (rrod victim...
The big difference with metal gear and Splinter Cell is that mgs is more like a movie, a game that you play a movie, has been with ALL of the mgs series. Splinter Cell is all about actually playing the game, controlling the character and creating your own story.
To each their own:
A. mgs - likes to watch a game, fancy cutscenes, etc.
B. Splinter Cell - likes to play the game, less cutscenes, etc.
Also the reason why this is PC/X360 exclusive, not t...
Wow! What a bad idea! Antivirus with ONLY 256MB of ram!? That is why you have a pc for web browsing. This should be really interesting!
I agree with the the first poster. You really think Intel/AMD will sit quietly and trying to do too many things at once will more than likely cause the company to go belly up, or at least ATI will easily surpass them.
nVidia, do what you do best and that is graphics. They can't even make decent chipsets in mobo's, (esp. laptop) so they need to just focus on graphics cards.
Why do sony fanboys think that SE should stay loyal to sony? Did they stay loyal to Nintendo? SE is their own company and they can do whatever they want. They are a business and I am sure they have thought out the risk-management. Even if their games do not sell as much, I am sure that MS is fitting the development bill and so it does not cost them much money to make a game so when they do only sell 136,000 copies of a game, Opening Day, they probably have already made profit. Personally...
I remember when the sony chief was hailing the psp as the Nintendo "killer". I still remember those quotes as to get the "handheld gaming out of the gaming ghetto" and a bunch of other nonsense including how it would spell the demise for Nintendo. Even Adam Sessler and the G4 crew thought that the psp would crush all in it's path. Even Nintendo didn't classify the DS in the same league. Who would have thought. Even now in the current gen, Nintendo kicking @$$ and taki...
