To be fair at least you guys still get to "have the game." There will be more titles and dlc available for X360 and pc for "PC developers" such as Bethesda. Last gen I would have loved to seen Final Fantasy, Xenosaga and a myriad of other titles on the Xbox even if it is nerfed and late. We never got them at all.
I hope it doesn't go under because itunes sucks so much on a pc. I would include itunes and quicktime as malware. -shudders-
Yeah but it really hard to top the first ones because they are new. Just like Jurassic Park, the first one was revolutionary. You don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of money on a great gaming machine. I built mine including a brand new 19" lcd monitor and laser wireless mouse and keyboard for under 1025. And it will run circles around a ps3, also run circles around the X360 as well. Any developer that spends all this time and resources can make any game look great.

Although I do agree with the above poster that Halo 3 and Gears had way more advertising, you canot compare lbp to Banjo. Banjo had little to no hype and lbp had HUGE hype. True it wasn't advertised as well but you cannot deny the HUGE HYPE this game had. All I would hear from people is ". . .wait til lbp comes out and it will destroy!"

I really think that if MS would stop using unreal 3 engine so much and make their own engine, we would see better looking exclusives. The Xenos is better than the rsx and the cell has a higher floating point than the tri-dual thread-core Xenos. nvidia shows that a good gpu will always trump a cpu in terms of graphical power. You could use the core i7 with integrated graphics andthe game would not be playable but you use a dual core, or even a high end p4 with a monster gpu and you can run ...

In the "Infinite Undiscovery" pamphlet, it shows the "Only on Xbox" stamp for SO4. Either which way the game will be great and available on X360 in First Quarter 09!
I don't agree that even in the near future that pc's will have a total takeover. But as more time goes on and more people are growing up in the pc age and knowing more about basic pc skills, they do have a chance at reclaiming the crown. True it is more expensive to build a pc rig now that the X360 is 199 but you ger WAY more out of it. I can build a nice dual core cheaper than a ps3 and can run circles around one.

While I agree with you that the Xbox was real short, only reason why ps2 is still supported is because they make a lot of profit and have such a huge user-base. I am sure that if Ninty or MS had the same success, they would still be supported and the fact that MS owned the ip of the original Xbox components. I hope that this "forward Compat" is for real. Imagine a pc/X360/XNEXT user base. Pretty wild if true!

@cenobia, everyone knows the ps3 is a bottlenecked machine. They created the parts without taking into consideration how well it would work together. The X360 has over 5 TIMES the memory bandwith the ps3 has. The cell is STILL A SINGLE CORE processor! Most games now are being optimized for MULTIPLE CORES as they are the future.

You have remember that the rsx in the ps3 is essentially a stripped down 7800 sli with 256mb of memory. The graphics uses the old architecture where as the Xenos uses UNIFIED SHADERS and has 10MB embedded eDRAM. Plus the cell cpu is a REALLY fast SINGLE CORE processor but lacks the three INDIVIDUAL cores plus DUAL THREAD that the X360 has.

The thing is that most people do not have that lump sum right off the get go. So a 200 dollar system now and then eventually adding in extras down the road grants them to play now instead of waiting later. Who needs the 120 gb hdd to play a game? Who needs a wireless adapter when hard-line is much better? Those are luxuries and not necessities.
Bottom line is that with this economy, you can not expect to have a console that sells for double the competition with half the gam...

It's all about the games. Like the previous generation, the console with more games and content to offer will be the victor. Xbox was awesome but fell to the mighty ps2, not because it was inferior but it lacked the software support.
I never thought in a million years that I would be able to play Fable, Halo, Gears and Final Fantasy ALL on the same system.
