You don't need to spend an insane amount of money on a gaming pc. All you need is a decent graphics card and a dual core processor to do any gaming at decent frames.
$50 - cpu
$50 - mobo
$70 - gpu
$50 - case/psu
$50 - ram
$80 - oem Win 7
$50 - SATA2 HDD 640 gb
$400 total and you can play any game on the market plus PROPERLY web surf, encode video and music, download, and all the extra stuff that y...
I like everyone's comment on how "japan won't let it happen". Sorry people, when you take a company public, you have no choice. Besides who has japan lost to? Who is in pretty much effect protects japan? Why don't japan have a regular standing army? People seem to think that japan is this all powerful nation that can do anything they want. You are so wrong. If it weren't for Americans, namely US Republican Senators, toyota would not be even a shadow of what t...
I don't know about Facebook as MS owns a big share of facebook. I also doubt about Adobe as they make majority of their money on PC's. sony seems unlikely as well.
Apple
308 dollars a share
283 bil market cap
sony
34 dollars a share
34 billion market share
All a company needs to do is own 50.1 percent majority shares to have control of a said company.
Plus MS bought 150 Mi...
My only problem with DD games is that you can't choose which HDD to install them on. I had steam install to c but I use that for apps and windows and use d and e for gaming. I found out that you had to install steam on the HDD you want the game to be dl and installed on. Other than that steam is very nice.
I would be happy to help you. It is really not that bad. A suggestion if you are using AMD as your chip maker, be careful and not to bend the pins. Also it would be beneficial for you to spend a little extra on a good mobo because you can always upgrade later and won't have to reinstall Windows. Also for a gaming rig, I would pick up Windows 7 64 bit as you would want that 4gb of ram or more. Last note is to use decent thermal paste on your cpu. Spend that 10 bucks and get a tube of...
Nice rig. I was a little nervous when I built my first rig as well. I just got done upgrading my own pc. There are definite joys into building a PC yourself instead of buying a prebuilt one. First is that the memory sucks. Yeah they could give you 6 gb of cheap and low density ddr3, but I would rather have ddr2800 4 gb with better timings. Also the psu in prebuilts are suprisingly weak and they generally use the low wattage cpu's. Most of them have integrated graphics, so hcore gam...
Every game company is not completely honest. What about dual hdmi on the ps3? What about router functionality? What about 4D? Let's talk about copying. The dualshock3. Copied X360 center logo button. Copied trigger buttons. Copied flatter thumbsticks. Copied HDD from first Xbox. That is just this gen. How about copying Nintendo? Copied Joystick. Copied Rumble. Even Ubisoft called them sony "me too". Let's not even get into removing features . . .

I loved this game. A true gem this gen. Absolutely one of the best. Would give my left nut for a sequel.
I have always like Insomniac. Even when they were ps exclusive and I loved them on the ps1 and ps2. Being humble is very important in this day of age as you don't see it too much. MS was that way when they first launched. They gave respects and were humble with Sakaguchi and other talented japanese developers. Also when Itigaki left, they thanked him for support of Xbox brand. It is refreshing to see respect and I will be supporting Insomniac in their future endeavors. Kudos!
That was only after someone made a comment first. Why would they make a comment like that? If you are on Xbox Live, why wouldn't you be excited? I would be as that would be a good indication that more games would be coming out on Xbox Live Arcade. If it is a success, there will be more support, duh!
You know, I just bought Castlevania Lords of Shadow, impulse buy, big fan of series, and Halo Reach Legendary Edition not too long ago and RE5 Gold Edition shortly after and I haven't really played my X360. Spent over a week rebuilding my PC, had to replace 2.8 TB of data, 2.45 TB just in games.
Would I need to tri-sli? I could afford another 2 gtx470 but my mobo only does sli and that would leave me nothing else for the month, lol. I like having my 2ms for games and movies and the other for Internet, gamefaqs, etc.
That must go to show why sony chose bluray for the cell. With bluray you have little compression.
You can get an oem Windows for under a hundred bucks.
I don't know about the average joe but I just upgraded mine,
Phenom2 965 BE
Asus sli/xfire mobo
usb3
am3
sata3
16 GB DDR3-1600 RAM
gtx470
antec 902
zalman
apevia aquos
g15 logitech
logitech 5.1
rechargeable laser MS mouse
glowpad
22" Viewsonic 2ms full hd dvi
22" emachine 5ms full hd dvi
Yummy. . .
Only reason why HD-DVD failed was because they didn't spend as much as sony in securing movie publishers. Just between wb and fox, sony spent over a billion dollars securing exclusitivity. With the web growing as fast as it is and more places getting high speed internet, DD is going to be the future and sony even acknowledged that. Why do you think that they made the psp go? How do you think iphone and droid are doing well? Can you buy a retail off the shelf game for the iphone? I ha...
I do agree that FF13 wasn't up to par. Take a look at the RPG's that are defining this gen. It isn't jrpg's, we are looking at Oblivion which was the first to wow and then Mass Effect then Dragon Age. Reason why those games are a success is because it forces you into an intriguing story. The first Mass Effect wasn't known for it's gameplay, it is known for story, atmosphere and graphics. In a linear rpg (which FF13 is), you don't have to worry as much as disk ...
So far I am downloading Fable 2. Maybe you have to be
1. Gold
2. Have played Fable 2 before.
Also MS has Microsoft Security Anti-Virus software and it is free. Works great.
Yeah and a little game like Sins of a Solar Empire sold over half a mil and that was from a smaller developer with NO copy protection. Besides piracy has a good side too. Imagine getting a chance to play a game that normally you would never play and absolutely fall in love with it and then be a loyal customer for their next titles? Piracy although a problem, does give smaller games the exposure they need.
It is important that a company does well. If a company doesn't do well, then what gets cut? Surely not the Windows or Office or Server brand. What would get cut Bing? How about WP7? If a company has to make cuts because they are losing money that will affect the gaming division. Happens to every company, if you lose a lot, you have to make cuts. First you make cuts to your weakest division and then so on. This is good news for the X-brand as well as if sony posts profits and high ...
