Since you're an expert on Americans, enlighten us all by explaining what the European way would be. I don't think complaining about Americans is getting you anywhere.

It's called gay pride. Educate yourself.

"C'mon dude, what the heck did you think they were before? Alien?"

I never really had an opinion about gays before I knew any. But because I keep an open mind and don't judge, I got to know some cool people that just happened to be gay. See how that works? I never thought they were alien.

"All this 'I'm gay and need to tell you' idea is problematic from the start. I mean, so what, you're gay (obviously I'm speaking rhetorically, not directly). I'm ...

I despise people like this. I'm straight, but I have a couple of gay friends. Before I met them, I guess you could say that homosexuals made me a bit uncomfortable. It's how I was raised I suppose. But they really opened my eyes and showed me that gays are still human-beings. In fact, they're two of the coolest people I know. If you aren't comfortable enough with your own sexuality to be around or friends with gays, then maybe you should ask yourself why.

"Do not judge, or...

And just because it's in our genes doesn't make it acceptable behavior. We can still learn to be courteous to others and keep an open mind to new things.

No, it's not. The difference being that debates usually consist of educated questions and answers, while flame wars consist of propaganda.

I think it's just lame parenting. Imagine all these kids and young adults that act as stupid as they do having kids. Scary thought, but it will happen. And those kids will be just as dumb because they have retarded parents. It's a vicious cycle.

You might as well ask the Sony fanboys as well. It's a two-way street. Always has been and always will be, sadly. I read PS3 news and see Sony fans are usually the first to trash talk the 360 before a 360 fanboy says anything. It just proves my point that there's moronic fanboys on either side. People act like their purchase justifies their own worth. If others don't like it, it's like a personal attack on them. It's pathetic. Games are and always will be about having fun. Enjoy what you have...

The editor makes some valid points and even now you're still spewing your bias. Amazing.

Some people, like you, just don't have a clue. Grow up a little.

It seems to me people try to find anything they can to whine about. COD4 and Halo are like apples and oranges in my opinion. I played the crap out of Halo 3 and I'm still not sick of it. When COD4 was released, I started playing the crap out of that because I love COD. Variety is a good thing. They're two totally different games and I love them both because I'm what you'd call a GAMER, not a whiner. Both games have pros and cons. Halo 3 definitely has COD4 beat hands down when it comes to mul...

I am. I love COD4, but I love Halo too. It's steep, but there's worse things to blow $10 on.

I wouldn't call people idiots for buying something that extends the life of a game. How do you justify paying $600 for a console with a lack of blockbuster games? It's because Sony has loyal followers. Same applies for just about anything. If those followers want it bad enough, they'll buy it. It just doesn't make sense to me why M$ has to nickel and dime everyone to death, especially when there's communities for popular PC games that create free content that is on par with, if not better tha...

Because M$ is greedy. This is one of my main gripes about XBL. M$ charges for anything they can.

@1.5: You state that it's a fact that IGN sucks, yet you give no real reason why other than the Insider bit, which nobody is forcing you to pay for to begin with. Sorry, but your fact is an opinion, which isn't right nor wrong. I don't know about elsewhere, but I'm glad US game reviewers don't eat everything they're spoon fed. I, for one, take my gaming seriously and expect bang for my buck. I think knit-picking is a good thing. The small things DO matter.

Why is it that when something good happens for Sony fans (or any fanboy for that matter), they resort to childish bashing of the competition and its fans? It's amusing to me how a lot of you whine about Xbots, yet you do a pretty good job at calling them out by throwing the first stone. You pretty much ask for it. I think this is one of the main reasons why Sony fans are hated. I'm definitely not taking sides, either, as Xbox has more than its fair share of morons. But don't sit on your thron...

I'd have to say Assault on the Control Room is Halo 1's best level. But comparing Halo to COD4 is like comparing apples to oranges. They're both good. I also have to concur that "All Ghillied Up" and "One Shot, One Kill" stuck out among the rest of the missions. Definitely fun.

I don't really trust any single review, but nor can I say that I was really looking forward to this title being ground-breaking considering the fact that it's developed by Ubisoft, a developer that's notorious for buggy games. I'm still going to play it, but I never have high hopes when it comes to Ubisoft.

@5.2: Unbalanced? Hardly. There's always one weapon that counters another. That's what I've always liked about Halo. Perhaps H3's arsenal is a little over the top, but to call it noob-friendly? Definitely not. I do think the ranking system needs tweaking because there's crappy lvl 30+ players that got their rank playing team games. Get to 40+ in lone wolves and then tell me it's noob-friendly. Getting kills doesn't make you good. Sure, it may be easy to slaughter people in Social, especially ...
