You're right, but think of this as a Back To The Future approach to the story. Raiden sends a mental message back to his younger self, warning of the things to come in hopes to change the outcome. Not everything that happened before will happen exactly the same way. In Sub-Zero and Smoke's case, it seems their fate is altered due to this. Maybe it's Smoke's turn to save Sub-Zero?
Thanks for the catch. I must have had a brain fart. It's Sheeva indeed. So many characters that begin with the letter 'S'. :\
From top to bottom, left to right: Scorpion, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sub-Zero, Sindel, Ermac, Reptile, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Jade, Mileena, Nightwolf, Cyrax, Noob, Smoke, Sektor, Sonya, Jax, Kano, Stryker, Shang Tsung, Baraka, Kabal, Raiden, Cyber Sub-Zero, Sheeva, Quan Chi, and Cyber Sub-Zero (again).
There. :D
You're wrong. It's legit. Sometimes those who don't want to be fooled make themselves look like fools anyway.
All of this stuff has been confirmed already through other sources. The leaked achievements confirmed Cyber Sub-Zero and Quan Chi; Australia's AGCB Decision Report confirmed Quan Chi, among other things. Also, NetherRealm's own website has a photo on one of its pages that blatantly shows Smoke's character model on an employee's monitor, whi...

The character on the left is Cyber Sub-Zero, not Smoke.
Cyber Sub-Zero and Quan Chi have to be unlocked. There are achievements/trophies for both.
...
Not necessarily. RE4 is one of the best in the series, and Code Veronica good as well. Either would be fine additions to the HD craze. That said, I would have preferred an actual remake of RE2 in the same fashion as RE1 for GC.
I can't argue that Cage is pretty well rounded, but I wouldn't say he's overpowered. In the hands of a casual player, I'd still say Cage is less of a threat than Kratos would be.
I agree. He definitely looks cool, but he also looks like an easy mode character with all the range and quick action moves.
To my understanding, all of these costumes will be available in the game already, but unlockable through other means. These retailer exclusives simply give you the ability to unlock it from the start. You may have seen Sub-Zero and Scorpion's classic costumes in the Challenge Tower. This is because they're already in the game somewhere.
Yeah, that's it. With Cage, it happens to the bandages on his arms.

Don't worry, it's long been fixed. :D
Base nothing off the PSN demo. It was based on a build that was 8 weeks old. Either they didn't have the AI fine tuned at that point or they purposely made it dumb so that people wouldn't get frustrated by it.
If any of you encountered that graphical glitch with Cage or Scorpion, that's been fixed since then as well.
@AvidGamerrrr: More of the same? Did you even play the demo? This plays nothing like any of the past games.
I personally don't see what the problem is. There really hasn't been any good fatalities since MK2. They just got extremely lame after that. In my opinion, these exceed MK2's. One thing you all fail to realize is that once the novelty of these fatalities wears off (and it will - it's inevitable), all you'll be left with is the game play. That's what will keep you playing. That's what should matter. They finally put a lot of effort into it, and all people do is whin...
Sorry for what? Even the 1% of you who feel that way are entitled to your opinion.
Tournament Edition, the new 360 controller with a better D-Pad, or a Hori controller. Problem solved.
I'm happy with nothing. It's MK, not SoulCalibur. Nothing against Kratos, but he'll be extremely over-powered, and anyone who uses him religiously will be labeled as a scrub player (not that it will stop those players from using him as a crutch). Furthermore, he'll be a banned character at EVO2K11.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Teenagers in dire need to be a part of something (aka lambs) no doubt.
Funny considering it was Sony fanboys that called them out. See #1.4 and #1.5.
The report also states that each character will have a total of 4 "finishing moves" -- 1 initial fatality and the other 3 being unlockable -- which leads me to believe the possibility of Babalities and Friendships. Or maybe something completely new. Can't wait to find out.
That's unfortunate for you guys. Good thing PS3 games are region free.
It's not Smoke, it's Cyber Sub-Zero. And I hear he's pretty beast.
