See, now submissions like this piss me off. Why tell people about an update everyone will receive and not give any details about it? What's the point? That's like telling people some games are coming out this month, but not going into detail what they are. It's obvious you're fishing for hits. N4G has become a place for that sort of thing, unfortunately.
Split Second? While not a car combat game in the traditional sense, I'd still classify it as one.
In any case, Twisted Metal will always be the king.
Here's a thought: Stop running into knives in the first place. It's not that difficult. If you run and gun like a jackass, you increase the odds of running into someone's knife. Can't really blame others for your lack of awareness and maneuverability skills.
Panic knifing doesn't exist. It's a term made up by kiddies that need an excuse for getting shanked. If my knife beats your gun, what does that say about you? It's like those idiots that jack o...
Don't confuse a panic knife with quick reflexes. I'm willing to bet the people complaining about panic knifing are the ones doing/using a) drop shots, b) flash bangs, and/or c) quick scopes, which are more annoying. You see, most drop shotters swap their knife button with the crouch button, making crouching more convenient and knifing less convenient. They can't knife you back, so it frustrates them. Boo hoo.
I haven't played Black Ops since MW3 came out, so I...
Ah, I see. I thought it was just games in general. That's what I get for not reading the article more closely.
While not a AAA title, Dear Esther should be on the list.

Why not just submit the original source?
Platforms come and go. Why waste energy defending one or the other? If you're a gamer, you'll play games. Period.
Also, two words: Dark Souls.
If a guy is offended by another guy's extremities, then they're insecure about their own sexuality.
(Those who disagree fall under that category as well.)
@Jneal7: You haven't played any Ubisoft games, have you?
We can take that a step further by saying the PS3 is no PS2, and never will be. SNES, PS2 and DC are the greatest consoles in the history of gaming as far as I'm concerned. The gaming industry isn't what it was back then.
(And don't take this as flame bait. I own both a 360 and PS3.)
These guys shook the game industry with COD4. I'm hoping they do the same with their new company/IP, killing COD in the process (which has become a regurgitated disgrace).
It wasn't just a "few thousand people," it was 30,000 - all free. 5,000 of those tickets were offered an hour or two before the event, which I assume is what caused the problems. Nobody was allowed to actually purchase the event, so it's hardly worth writing an article about just to complain. Things will get fleshed out.
It's also worth noting (and I see others have noted it as well) that because of the technical difficulties, those who got a free ticket...
These are only opinions, people. It's not gospel. The world would be a better place if you all learned how to respect each other's opinions.
You mean Call of Duty 4.3?
Aww, did I offend a few Activision cheerleaders? Sorry. (No, I'm not.)
Likely to cause immense harm, they say? This coming from a company that practically rolls around in their billions from a regurgitated product (COD), and are the only company greedy enough to charge $15 for a map pack. Immense harm my ass. Just another day at Activision.
Wtf did I just read?
I've never played Demon's Souls, so I couldn't give you a fair comparison, but I've heard the exact opposite from friends who have; not that it's easier per se, but that it added some things (like bonfires) making it more enjoyable than its predecessor.
Great game nevertheless. I highly enjoyed it.
It's Mortal Kombat with a K, lady.
