I'm willing to bet it will be the Komplete Edition and sell for no more than $20.

Too late for the casual gamer, maybe. But there's plenty of people who never played it, not to mention the diehards (like me) who are willing to buy it on every platform.

I own both a 360 and PS3. I'm not a fanboy of either, but I tend to use my 360 more because it's what my friends play on. That, and the social aspect is much better on 360 than it is on PS3 (cross-game chat, etc.). That being said, as my friends and I hear more and more about the PS4 and next Xbox, we're leaning more towards the PS4 as our next-gen platform of choice. We've grown tired of Microsoft's business model and nobody wants to pay to play games online. Leave it to ...

Here's my list:

1. More first party titles. Way, way more.
2. Free online play.
3. No hardware failures.
4. ???
5. Profit.

It's no secret that COD has grown stale, but how is it that "sales are, for the first time ever, down," when Black Ops 2 broke franchise sales records? It sold 11M units in its first week and grossed $1B in 15 days. Did I miss something?

Lol, you guys are starting to look like the dudes in the video.

SF4 is still relevant in tournaments.

It's actually more fun, albeit short, than this review makes it out to be. If you're a fan of chip tunes, or 8-bit music in general, then you'll love the music in this. The sound design in general is good (not sure what the reviewer was smoking). There's more to the game play than there appears to be at first; each character has their own unique style, and you won't see what they're capable of until you level them up (max level is 50). The stat system allows you to put...

"The team responsible for CoD4 no longer works for Activision. They are mostly now Respawn Entertainment."

That's why I don't think they're capable of making something better than CoD4.

I have no doubt they'll release a CoD for next-gen platforms. That much is inevitable. But I have my doubts about seeing one in 2013. Who knows, maybe the one they recently announced IS for next-gen. I'd be quite surprised if that were the case. ...

Why deal with it when you can just mute them?

All these guys who talk trash are just immature boys who fail to see the error in their ways. Lack of parenting, perhaps? Trash breads trash.

If Activision were smart (and they're not), they'd focus on the next-gen Call of Duty. But, I'm willing to bet the one due later this year is for current gen. The next CoD needs to have as much of an impact as CoD4 did, and I don't think they're capable of that now.

That being said, EA's first person shooters have always felt clunky - especially Battlefield. That's one of the reasons it will never win over most CoD fans, no matter how fantastic it ...

I think the two co-exist quite well. There's games I'd rather own a physical copy of and games I don't mind downloading. It's really no different from renting and buying if you think about it.

How can anyone want digital-only? You're only giving more power and control to the video game industry. Sooner or later, we won't own anything.

Amazing time to be a gamer, period.

"Games that allow the player - not necessarily the developer - to be creative are the sort of games that we need more of. "

Totally agree. Exploration seems to have a hand in it as well, for me at least. It's for these reasons I pumped 172 hours into Terraria and anxiously await Starbound (Google it if you haven't heard of it). I chose Terraria over Minecraft only because I love the 2D retro look, but to each their own.

Personally attacking this guy isn't going to make things better. It just makes us look bad. It's no wonder he thinks we have no credibility in the argument when we can't even have an intelligent discussion about it.

Can't say I'm a "true" DMC fan, but I've heard a lot of good things about the new DmC. As a Mortal Kombat fan, I've seen my beloved characters go through iteration after iteration, but the franchise is essentially better for it, and still relevant 20 years later.

I think the Xbox 360 controller is perfect for everything except fighting games. The d-pad is the only thing keeping it from being the perfect controller. That's not to say I don't like PlayStation's controllers though. I've just never liked them for first person shooters. It feels unnatural to me (like I'm gouging someone's eyes out with my thumbs). I've always wanted to see a modular controller, where you can easily place analogs/d-pads/buttons where you want. <...
