Just goes to show how out of touch Microsoft is with the consumer. And I say this as a multi-platform gamer who spends most of their time on the Xbox 360.

They're stupid for not making this, just as EA is stupid for not reviving Road Rash and Mutant League Football/Hockey.

You would think it'd be a no brainer.

I highly enjoyed this game. The reviewer says 10-12 hours, but my playthrough (on Normal) exceeded 17. Just throwing that out there.

I didn't mind the voice acting so much. It will definitely make some people cringe (your sidekick in particular), but it's kind of like an interactive cartoon. Some amusing dialog here and there. If you play it with an open mind, it's not so bad.

There's a nasty bug that throws you to the dashboard at random. For...

Is that why Minecraft is the best selling XBLA game right now? And Trials Evolution before that? Everything he said is subjective. Halo, Gears and Forza are flagship titles. COD... well, that's just favoritism on Activision's part.

As for Alan Wake, I highly doubt that game would be well received by PS3 owners simply because 1) it graced the 360 first, and 2) it wouldn't meet PS3 owners' standards, just as it didn't meet 360 owners' standards. The game...

I can tell you why. Most fans of the series played Halo: CE over LAN with their friends. If you've never been to a Halo LAN party, then you wouldn't understand what the fuss is about.

I was an Xbox hater before I ever touched Halo. In fact, I thought it was a rip-off of Doom. I despised it. Then I actually played it one day when a friend brought his Xbox over to my house. It was then when I realized how wrong I was.

The LAN parties became a regular th...

Do you ever wonder why you have one bubble? I don't.

When has loyalty and fanaticism ever been rewarding? Great games aren't limited to one platform. They never have been. When you limit yourself to one platform, the only person you hurt is you.

Lol, bubbles for you, sir.

I think what the title meant to say was it looks better than most Modern Warfare games - most as in all, seeing as it hasn't changed much since 2007.

Was just about to mention Pyramid Head.

I understand what you're trying to say, but people will kill each other, whether religion exists or not.

Regardless, they were still putting out good games before MS bought them out. If I have my facts straight, Star Fox Adventures was released the same month MS bought the company.

God, I wish that game got a sequel.

While their quantity of quality releases slowed down substantially, they were still putting out good games up to the point they were purchased by Microsoft.

Microsoft purchased Rare in late 2002. Rare released Star Fox Adventures that same year on GCN; the year before that, Conkur's Bad Fur Day; the year before that, Perfect Dark.

I just hope it's not Call of Walking Duty.

I already gave you a valid argument as to why they shouldn't be included in the main series. THEY'RE MMOS. Tactics is a tactical RPG while Crystal Chronicles (not to be confused with FF Chronicles) is an action RPG. Why on earth would they include those in the main series? An MMO is an entirely different beast compared to an offline single-player experience. Who cares if it mimics it? It's still an MMO and should be treated as such by having its own brand. The thing about MMOs is ...

Lol, did disagreeing with my typo correction in addition to my response make you feel better?

The sad part about it is that Paul Cuisset, the designer of Flashback (a great game), served as director on the project.

*But why stop there?

4975d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

If you're going to make an MMO based on a single player series, then it should have its own identity, much like FF Tactics and Crystal Chronicles. Who cares if it's "just as true" (whatever that means) as any other game before it? The fact that XI and XIV are MMOs is precisely the reason why they shouldn't be included in the main series. If we followed your logic, then Tactics and Crystal Chronicles should be included in the main series as well. By why stop there? World ...

I never understood why they gave this game a numerical prefix. It should've been called Final Fantasy Online or something of the like.

I wish they'd make a sequel. It had a really good cliffhanger.
