I'm not sure what you mean. Are you trying to show "fanboys" that a few games don't really show a console's capability, or are you trying to argue that the generational leap from Playstation 2 to 3 wasn't big?
The problem for the former is that it's exclusive content that shows the capabilities of the platform, and ZombieU, Pikmin 3 and Nintendo Adventureland don't really show any leap from current consoles to the WiiU at all.
...
What you listed was the same game played on two different platforms, with the same assets, the same engine, the same everything except for resolution.
The second video I listed was an _actual_ A/B of the same game on two different platforms - your point is moot.
Lol, if you play Command and Conquer 95 on the Wii-U, it'll still look the same. I know, surprising right?

You want the same game compared to the same game?
Lol.. no.

Xbox 360 is more popular among kids at the "trouble age", Wii is more popular among younger kids (8-12) and the Ps3 is more popular among the (somewhat) more mature range 18-24. This is probably why you only see these types of stories about Xbox.

Game is a bit simple, but great fun in co-op. Just wish I was able to run it at more than 10 frames per second lol! Played it with my brother, though we only managed to get co-op working over Hamachi.
For such a network focussed game, I would've expected better.
It has little else to do with the fact that the game features a predominantly female cast. Since all you have to do to get an article to the top in general is to put "Boobs" in the title, it's easy to understand why this happens to DOA.
They've always been solid fighters, and I prefer them over Tekken.
"this would be a perfect chance for devs unable to afford the costs of sony's and microsofts dev kits and fees to showcase their talent"
It's even easier, and thanks to Steam more secure and cheaper, to develop games for PC.
"piracy is just as easy on pc"
No it isn't. Piracy on PC is more often than not a mess. Since Ouya supports hackers, a simple patch can be made available that completely replaces the Ouya marketplac...
@joeorc
"HAVE YOU EVER IN THE TIME YOU BEEN PLAYING GAMES HEAR OF SO MANY DEVELOPMENT HOUSES CLOSING? "
Yes. Studios have been closing for as long as the industry has been around. It happens everywhere in the world, in every business.
The economical crisis has somewhat accelerated this effect, but not only in the games industry.

"is a console closest to a computer we can get"
Or we could just buy a PC. How many big name developers do you believe will actually ever make any game for this console?
Considering it's hacker friendly, I'd say that number is pretty close to 0. Even Indie developers need to have some form of income, and Ouya is the least likely of all platforms to deliver that.
It'll come, it'll fail, and it'll be forgotten.
"The main issue is to make it more convenient to buy than to pirate."
Correct, and that in its own is Ouya's problem. Ouya is branded as a hacker-friendly console, and it's open source - this makes it incredibly easy to write a simple patch for users that replaces the usual market place with a pirate market place, with the exact same look and feel. The patch would be easy to apply (hacker friendly), and people would get their games for free.
Hey look, another White Knight in Shining Armor, here to protect and rescue women from the evils from the games industry!
"Crystal Dynamics has said that sexual violence is not a theme covered in the game. However, whether the scene is or is not a rape scene, there is slight sexual undertones to it, and to an extent, viewers can see this as an attempted sexual assault. On top of all this, whenever Laura Croft gets hurt in the game, her pains sound more like sexual moans ...
"Who said they are intimidated by Ouya? "
You suggested it by saying
"The reason I will support Ouya is because I want The Big Three to lower the prices of their games. "
"On this note, Android which is thought of a huge threat to the demise of console gaming, may actually be helping rather than destroying. "
Lol
Android is _not_ a gaming operating system. It was built from the ground up as a mob...
Sony and Microsoft both earn most of their money in the games industry by royalties paid by third party developers. If they went free to play, there would be no more royalties, and therefore there would be no profit for either Sony or Microsoft to make with their current business models. Since those aren't likely to change, I'm going to say no - Sony and Microsoft's consoles will _not_ be free to play.
You suggest not hiring women.. But isn't that discrimination?
Reducing pay to account for future expenses is _not_ a punishment for anything. It's the result of risk assessment, and fundamental in making a company sustainable.
Accountants don't conjure up the money out of thin air, so hiring a better one won't do you any good. A company prepares for future expenses, and in the case of women pregnancy is one of them. Besides, it's not like ...
"That would be like paying an employee less on the off chance they MIGHT get injured and need to take injury-leave or MIGHT get bored and decide to use up all their entire paid vacation."
... They already do... It's called risk assessment. Do you think they get the money for paid leave out of thin air? They take it off your hourly rate. It's riskier for a company to take on a woman than it is to take on a man, and even with lower pay, the woman often ends up...
I don't see Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo getting intimidated by this console. It has no major publishers backing it, it has very low specs compared to even the current consoles, and it's delivered by a company which we know very little about - build quality may be shoddy, components may not resonate very well with each other - a lot of problems that may occur.
Most of all though, they're basing it on Android, an Operating System for mobile devices, and uses Java i...
So how many female characters in games can you think of where "sexy" is their only trait?
Sexualisation only occurs when the character, both visually as well as personally, is nothing more than an object for the man to have sex with. Honestly, I can't think of many games that do this. The only ones that come to mind are God of War 3 mini-games, and the Hot Coffee _mod_ for San Andreas.
As for my point, you can try to solve a problem by attacking...

Do you know the difference between a 10 year old game and a game that was built from the ground up for the WiiU?
We have seen games, we have seen tech demos, and therefore we have a rough idea of what it's capable of.
