Makes me think they have plans in the future for their own gaming service. Only reason I can think for this is that they don't want people buying games from them anymore. What do we do when digital gaming becomes so popular that retailers see it not worth their time or profitable to carry physical games? I wonder.

Cancel it then if you're not getting value lol. Smartest decision. I personally do all my shopping outside of food on Amazon. Cheaper than any stores I can find around here.

Did you buy them from Amazon or a third party seller? Hopefully you're reporting this, if it's a third party seller, which I'm assuming, files need to be charged and that seller needs to be removed. Don't trust third party stuff man. And if it's Amazon selling counterfeit goods, sounds like a good reason to call a lawyer.

It's not roguelike like Dead Cells, roguelike usually implies random generation. Dead Cells is really great though.

Hell yeah! Everyone, please buy this game if you like Metroidvania style games. Hands down one of the best I've ever played. I could describe it as Ori and the Blind Forest crossed with Dark Souls. Definitely perfect on Switch with handheld play.

To make a good open world game and not have it become a repetitive experience, you have to do ALOT of things right. Even then, it's subjective. You could nail the art style, story, battle system and world building and people could still hate it. Xenoblade Chronicles 1 is probably one of the best open world games and jrpgs of the last ten years, but I understand how many might not be drawn to it. I've dropped more open world games than I've finished though. Once you stop caring abo...

Edit: Made a salty comment as I read it wrong and thought it said there were only 4 launch maps lol.

I hope it sells very well, and that Blizzard will continue to bring games to the platform.

What he said was "We don't run at 60 on Switch. Doom 2016 didn't run at 60 on Switch, it ran at 30, and really it was no sacrifice to the experience."

Whether or not that's true is subjective, and we will see if PB is able to optimize further with the Switch.

Well, if there's any dev team that can do it right now, it'd be Panic Button for sure. They are very talented and familiar with the hardware.

Blame copyright laws. In no way should someone be able to hold a copyright for 70 years. It just doesn't feel right for how the world woks nowadays, and humanity's right to what should be free information. I wish that copyrights would expire after 20 years and become open afterward, or in general, that a copyright would expire if A. You're not actively selling the product and B. You can't provide proof that you're working on bringing it to market in a timely manner. There ...

Hollow Knight is amazing. Very difficult in places.

Some of the highest praised games in recent years have been indies. Keep trying lol.

There are alot of good indie games on Switch. Golf Story is one, Inside should have been on that list as well. That game is amazing. Seriously though, if anyone hasn't played Hollow Knight, go do that. It's Ori meets Dark Souls.

I'm sure it will be expertly crafted with a good story, but I'm just...so burnt out on open world games. I'll be playing Resident Evil 2 instead.

Out of all the tens of thousands of games that have been made, how many retro games are you able to still purchase legally where the money goes to a developer or publisher? Perhaps a few hundred. Buying secondhand just moves the money to the seller. The problem is copyright laws are broken. In no way should someone be able to own a product for a 100 years even if they aren't actively selling it. If some day, laws are not fixed and copyright detecting AI prevents people from hosting materi...

Guys, this is a fantastic article on the subject, and raises amazing points, such as:
1. Preservation of history
2. How many game developers were only able to play and study older games via emulation, meaning that without it, we'd have less talent in the industry
3. Teachers explaining how only a very, very small fraction of older games are even possible to obtain legally, and when rom sites die, many games disappear along with it.
4. Many gaming compan...

That happens already though. You have to willingly allow a third party installation, and if people are willing to risk their device by trying to cheat, that's their own fault. That's like saying that by not purchasing a PC game from Steam, it's risky and anti-consumer. People that don't know better are going to get swindled in any aspect of life and it's always been that way.

Fornite is practically a cultural phenomenon at this point. They have the brand power to not need Google Play for advertising. Also, it's a free game where they make their money on MT. Most people don't know that on Android you can install a paid .apk from anywhere very easily, and the mobile market is so over-saturated that for most developers, not having it on the GP platform would be probably costing them many sales.
I don't particularly enjoy Fornite, but I can't ...
