lol, your mom's keyword is wetness.
But yeah, I can't wait for this game xD
People who don't play and support great independent games are ignoring some of the best releases in the industry. It also allows studios to try new ideas that would be far too risky for a AAA studio to develop. How many times do you think a dev for a big company came forward with an idea and was told "Nope, not marketable, share holders will never go for it." Games like Inside and Hollow Knight I'd say were crafted with more care than 9/10 of big budget games right now. Not ...
That's pretty insulting to indies lol. Lots of times the developers who work on them are heavily invested in the company and if it doesn't sell, they could lose everything. I'm sure the Dead Cells makers are ecstatic to see how well it's selling on the Switch.
Something I see people not take into account very often, as many are discussing how home consoles aren't very popular in Japan, is that arcade gaming is still very big over there. Tons of gamers spend many hours a week in arcades and it's a social activity. They live in smaller living places usually as well, and home environments may not be as conducive for big TVs and consoles. It's a whole different lifestyle over there and the PS4 was definitely designed with the western market...
I mean, the 3DS has still sold over 6 million consoles this year, and it's an almost 8 year old console at 240p, so...
The market for the Switch is not high resolution, high end graphics. No one that values those features is buying a Switch for that reason. People that buy a Switch either:
A. Enjoy Nintendo titles,
B. Like handheld gaming, or
C. Want to mod one for free games and homebrew/emulation.
Also, 720p on a 6 inch screen is 236 ppi, wh...
Pretty sure the Switch beat the first year combined sales of the Wii U and 3DS in its first year. It's been a year and a half and Switch has also beat the first two years of 3DS sales. I believe Switch sales are on par with what the PS4 sold in the same release time frame. If anything Nintendo is doing better now than it has in years, and selling more software than ever. They've also doubled their operating profits and software sales over the same period last year. That decline tho. ...
I say it didn't go too far enough!
The part in Steamworld Dig 2 when you go into that cyber-space part and killer robots chase you.
Doesn't mean that Miyamoto has to like that it's happening lol.
He's a developer expressing an opinion; It's not like Miyamoto IS Nintendo. He is a creative director for the company and may not agree with what Nintendo does at all regarding platform or sales policies. In the article (if you bothered to read it), he also expresses the opinion that he's not really overly fond of Nintendo's fixed price policy either.
Remember the wait between 2 and 3? lol
Geez dude, the game was shown when the Switch was announced and people had been waiting a whole year for it. Do you actually believe the stuff you say or do you just like to get reactions from people?
The direction and cinematography in the cutscenes were very poor compared to the originals as well. For example, the scene where Zelda and Impa are escaping the castle from Ganondorf. In the original, the first thing it cuts to is an image of Zelda's face, fear stricken and worried. It tells a story. In the 3DS version, you just look at part of a horse's head bobbing in and out of view. The game itself looked great, but it just doesn't feel like the same experience when you play. ...
Hearthstone may be more likely before Overwatch. Could just basically use the mobile version.
Please buy this game; It's amazing. It's worth the $10 many times over.
Nothing new, Overwatch hasn't moved forward with the lore since it started. Everything is back story, and if they ever move forward it will probably be with a 2.0 version of the game
Monster Hunter World was still fantastic, and you can tell alot of time and effort was put into it. It'd be incredibly difficult to put in the amount of content from the 3DS games. No, it's not as hardcore as the other entries, but it's been one of the best releases this entire current gen I'd say.
MHW was amazing, don't get me wrong, with stellar production value. The reason many people love Monster Hunter though is because of the grind, and MHW is severely lacking in content compared to MH4U. Yes, it would have be a gargantuan task to model and animate over 100 monsters with the graphics and AI that World had, but the amount of time you can put into 4U is staggering. Some of the best times I've ever had gaming were weekly meetups with friends to hunt for the entire day.
Aren't playing video games in general kind of a waste of time? lol
Playing an old game is like reading an old book. You go back to it because you want to experience it again.
I'd say Capcom is doing better now than they have in years. MHW was fantastic, RE2 Remake looks great, we're getting Megaman 11 as well. It seems like they're finally trying to do well by fans and give them what they want.
