Yeah, you can make sense of it if you play them all like that, but there's no denying that the story is convoluted to the point of near disaster lol. Also, until the collections were released for PS4, you had to have played the games across PS2, GBA, DS, 3DS, PSP... that's a nightmare.

That's funny, I remember when Kingdom Hearts first released it was a huge deal, because it was a Final Fantasy/Disney crossover. I was 15, lots of people were gamers, and everyone I knew loved it.

Would have loved to see this on Xbox as well. Might as well have just made KH3 an exclusive. No one is going to understand it without playing all those games. Shit, most people that have played all of them STILL don't understand the story xD

@Ciporta1980
What did that say about the PS3 that gen though if people chose to buy the 360 three times opposed to buying a PS3? PS4 is a great console, but the PS3 was overpriced ($500/600 at launch opposed to Xbox $300/400) and no one knew how to develop well for it until the end of the generation.

They have a chance, they just have to do well by customers. Deliver a good product at a decent price and let them know you're going to support them if they support you. Double down on exclusive gaming experiences and make Gold more enticing. Continue with BC and make sure it's AT LEAST just as powerful as Sony's offering. Microsoft messed up so bad with the vision of the Xbox One in general. At launch, there was DRM, less power and higher price. Many people got the message of &quo...

LIterally says in the article that Amazon admitted it's a glitch from their end and they're going to fix it within 48 hours. Saying that Capcom failed to provide something in that situation is actually defamation and just blatantly false. They really don't need that kind of publicity, and you know people are going to buy into it now, just read the headline and be like "FUCK CAPCOM CAN'T EVEN PREORDER RIGHT".
Not okay. This is from the article: "In the t...

You are definitely expecting too much lol. Look at the size of those consoles compared to the Switch tablet itself. It weighs 10 ounces and is half an inch thick. My phone is almost as big as it is. What the dock does, is there's a chip inside it that interprets the vido signal and sends it to a TV. Not having to power a screen, the GPU speed more than doubles and the fan kicks on. It's just not possible to get that kind of power out of mobile hardware yet. For what it does, I still t...

it's a 6" 720p screen. The PPI are still higher than a 42" 4k TV. The Switch screen in portable is just fine. If the game is actually rendering at 720p it's pixel perfect and looks fantastic. It has lower clock speeds in portable anyways to preserve battery as it has to power the screen. I'd rather have more battery life. Most likely what we'll see in a Switch Pro would be more internal storage, a modified X2 chip (they need to get away from the X1 due to hacking; th...

I still have a GC, Xbox and a PS2 lol. I don't even use them. Can run GC backups on the modded Wii, BC on the Xbox One, and PS2 emulation works just fine. Cant bring myself to sell them though, too many good memories.

That gen was one arguably the best gen for video games ever. All three major consoles were amazing in what they had to offer, like PS2 being an affordable DVD player with a great library, and Nintendo's stellar first party library, alongside Capcom's offerings. The Xbox was niche, for sure, but set a standard for what people expect from home consoles today. It had internal storage. It ran on PC architecture. Xbox Live changed the industry. Before Halo 2 there was no such thing as cons...

I'd settle for a 2D collection too. Bundle Zero Mission, Samus Returns, Super Metroid and Fusion together. That'd be kickass.

Maybe that's the big deal, is that it's not available on those platforms while almost every other FF game is. FF8 is a great game, and it sucks that it's been so overlooked.

Every one of those games you mentioned is from a huge western publisher that sells gangbusters. Capcom is not that. I'm saying, I don't think they can make a profit on this game. It's a great series, but I don't think any one has sold more than a few million, and games don't get cheaper to make when people expect higher production values every year. So my question is, what should they do? Not have made it at all? My other question remains as well. Say that MT were erased f...

Oh man, I didn't even know it was out on PS4 and Xbox! Go play this game everyone; It's amazing.

It is interesting to think about, that in the X series, a hundred years after, Light and Wily's creations are still warring.

I think if microtransactions are necessary to ensure that a game makes money, perhaps creating the game at all should be in question if it's already full priced. We're at a point in gaming where the production values that people want don't seem to be sustainable. Do you scale back? Do you add MT to offset costs? What would you guys do if the gaming industry raised prices?
I honestly don't think that Capcom should have made DMC5 at all. I don't think it's gonn...

You gotta figure, Epic makes the Unreal Engine as well, which everyone here has played more Unreal developed games than they can probably remember. They're basically one of the backbones of video game development right now. Even without Fortnite, I'd still say they have leverage.

If Nintendo could make a profit by selling a Pokemon bundle console at $249, sales would explode. I wouldn't expect that until Christmas 2019 though.

And then hardly advertised it as well. I'm almost positive they sent it out to die so they could devalue the studio and buy it, which is exactly what they did shortly after. Expect Titanfall 3 to have an absurd marketing budget.
