Implying that Microsoft and Sony wouldn't kill children to have Pokemon on their consoles lol

I think FFXV's focus on graphics (I mean, we could have a whole discussion why the game was a mess) really took away from things like, you know, gameplay, the existence of a story, character design, character development, having a world that wasn't mostly blocked off...
FFXV sucked so hard. Capcom learned their lesson I think. For years, they focused only on what sold big to western audiences and it almost completely ruined them. Now that they seem to be doing right by their ...

I don't see why Square doesn't port the Steam/Android versions of 7, 8 and 9 over to Switch. They'd probably sell very well.
Also, 9 is my personal favorite. I can see how people like 7 more, but as a video game, 9 had loads more polish, more to do, a more concise story with a better translation, and was actually designed, written and produced by the original people who did so of the series, which didn't happen with 7 and 8. FF9 was designed to be both a throwback an...

I have the unpopular opinion of thinking that FF7 would have been a better game in 2D than 3D. It was too new at the time. People fondly remember the story of the game and the graphics (of that age), but looking back, FF7 was a broken mess. The battle system was so easily manipulated, and the world itself so cobbled together (their first 3D RPG) that you could break the game completely by accident. Not that I haven't completed it ten times lol.

I hope EA doesn't have high sales expectations for this game. The multiplayer FPS scene right now is so over-saturated. Overwatch has tons of players, people still play CoD like it's going out of style, Destiny 2 DLC launched, and Battlefield 4 is still better than Battlefield 1 lol. Do yourselves a favor and pick up Titanfall 2 when it goes on sale for $5 again. Metro Exodus will be a better game without multiplayer lol.
I miss the Bad Company series :(

It was definitely a hassle, but man, was it awesome when it all came together. Also, shows how Nintendo was flirting with the idea of two screens that turned into the Wii U years prior.

If they're true to the story, FFVII is probably going to be one of the biggest games ever made. Think about just Midgar from the first disc alone, with modern graphics and play styles(FFVII was a very linear game with static pre-rendered environments, it just did a good job at making it feel open), having to craft an entire city for it, that's a game in itself.

It was a very unique game; I also had the advantage of being able to get 4 friends together to play this game with GBA links. It was really different at the time, and we'd get together and stay up all night playing the game.

You know, I'd really like to give the DLC a shot considering how many things they've fixed since launch, but I refuse to buy the two prior DLC packs to play it. Not worth it.

Solomon's Key! Maybe Rygar, Star Tropics..

Most of those games are on every top NES list lol. Wouldn't say Megaman was underrated on NES, it was one of the biggest IPs and had six games on the console alone...

One of the main technical limitations of OoT is that 3D games were still new lol. If anything, that game (and Metal Gear Solid) showed the world what was truly possible in 3D environments. Camera locking, context sensitive buttons, open worlds, cut scene cinematography in games, these were all still really new back in 98.

Please give the world a sequel or remake to Link's Awakening so I can die happy.

They can still use the engine, some assets, animations, etc, and build it from the ground up on Switch. That's not stopping them from doing anything like adding more characters, lighting, AI, etc. Companies re-use assets and engines all the time, as there's no logical reason to toss out 5 years worth of work and investment.

They'll definitely use it in some capacity. They made a whole new engine and physics system for the game, and I can't see them throwing away all that work when it could be used in so many different ways.

Do you think it was Nintended? Hyuck hyuck.

They're giving fans exactly what they asked for. People were begging for a RE2 Remake for years. Why not push the graphics while doing so? Market research indicates that it's literally the most valued part of gaming for most, so not marketing that fact for a AAA game is actually a detriment. I could argue all day that the focus on graphics has done harm to gaming, but still, in this case, it's what the masses want.

I miss EGM so much. I loved everything about that magazine when I was younger.
